October CSR Discussion Day: Aditus' Halloween Horror Themes 2013: From the Ashes Spring new Life

Well, Halloween and just about everything creepy is creeping up on us (I hate clowns, and they are everywhere, like everywhere!) Did this month's CSR creep up on you in a good way or not? I do say one answer by Aditus surprised me, but maybe that's just because here in the US we have a holiday nearly every day if you want to pick one. Like, Jan 8th is National Man Watcher's Day. 🫣That could be taken in soooo many ways. October 30th, Haunted Refrigerator Night (I'm sorry, it's been 2 weeks since

Weekly Wrap Up (Oct. 18 - Oct. 24)

It has finally happened 😮  Friday I woke up and had to drive though slush and like a blizzard of snow coming down ❄️.  Which means that probably 50% of the people in our city don't have snow tires or proper all weather tires and probably never will have them. Then 25% haven't got their snow tires on yet  Luckily I'm not in either group. Now I know that probably the vast majority of our readers are in places where snow is seen very occasionally if ever. So you probably never have known

October Signature Excerpt: Topher Lydon's Reunion

Monday I shared a feature for Topher Lydon's Reunion. How many of you went to your school reunion(s)? I don't, but out of the 18 students I graduated with, yeah... I'm good. I am still besties with my "person" who I met on the first day of first grade, and we get chat and get together as regular as possible, but she actually abandoned me for high school when her folks made her move. The nerve! On the other hand, she met her husband and introduced me to his roommate, who is my husband, so the hig

I may be dating myself (not like that, geez ), but back in the days of Johnny Carson hosting the Tonight Show, Ed McMahon would always start the show off with, "Herrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre's Johnny," for an introduction. I may or may not have used AI to help recreate this  Okay, I totally did  Can't use the actual likeness of Ed McMahon though .  I just wanted to resurrect the famous line to let everyone know that Annual GA Anthology has started   In case you have been out of the  countr

Happy Nadian Thanksgiving!!! 🦃  We do go a little wild up here in the Great White North. No, we are not covered in snow yet, but close     So since it is in the news here, I thought I would bring this up earlier than normal. Usually I talk about the dreaded, not to me, changing of the clocks for Daylight Savings Time. Well, why it is in the news, is that British Columbia, Alberta and Manitoba have decided to do away with falling back and staying on Daylight Savings Time. Sas

October CSR Feature: Aditus' Halloween Horror Themes 2013: From the Ashes Spring new Life

Well, October has hit... and it's in the 70s and 80s here. Like, what a switcheroo. Where's my cool and rainy fall? Boo! Just like the character in this short story by Aditus was expecting one thing and got another in this horror-themed short, perfect for this month! It's an older story, so many of the members on this site may not have read it. I've been here for 17 years now, apparently, so I remember when this was posted and popular. Like a vampire, I also live FOREVER, muahahahah! (Nah, I'm j

Today's the Day!

Anthology Stories are due today! Get those final touches done on your story and send it to me by midnight, EST tonight so I can get it assigned to a Proof Team member! There are lots of burning questions... Did we break the 20 story barrier? Who participated? How many stories did they write? When will the stories go live? Which theme has more stories? Of course, I'm not going to answer any of them now   You'll have to wait and anticipate!
