Weekly Wrap Up (Jun. 4 - Jun. 10)

Interesting way to start of the blog this week   Sooooooooo, I think I listen to this song at the beginning of each summer as my kick off song to the summer. I like the lyrics and the video. I always wanted to be a boy of summer for a boy . Add in the fact that the kid playing the drums is so intense, who couldn't like this video?  I'm not sure if putting links to videos takes up a lot of bandwidth or not, but why not post a link to your favourite kick off to summer song. I'm sure everyone

Weekly Wrap Up (Nov. 27 - Dec. 3)

It is past my bedtime... I think. So does anyone want to come over and fix my painting job at my condo? I've never painted a house or such in my life, and everyone seems to have suggestions, after I've f'uped and it has gone to shit. Well, I'm done the most difficult wall and pulled the tape off around the door frames and unfortunately took off in some spots a couple of layers of paint too!  Krista suggest to bribe someone with cookies, that most men will paint for cookies. So if I bak

I would be remiss if I didn't mention at the start of the Wrap Up about the 2nd round of the GA Anniversary Anthology 😮 It is more a fear of @Valkyrie. Even without her threats and promises of a world of hurt, I would have done it anyways   So about those stories, why not give us an update on how you are doing? Did you get through all of Round 1. Have you got through Round 2 already ? Have you liked and left a chapter comment or story comment? I know our authors really appreciate everyone's

Weekly Wrap Up (Oct. 2 - Oct. 8)

Well a Happy Thanksgiving to all our Canadian friends. Not sure if you all have plans to be with someone(s) for the day or for dinner, but I really hope you all do . I'll be heading out to friends place this year to join his entire family to enjoy a turkey and so much more   I was thinking about Halloween, since it is my job in real life , is like less that 3 weeks away . So have you put any thoughts into what you are going to dress up as? That is if you dress up. Why not have some fun this

I hope that the weather is treating you well, wherever you are! Our ice finally melted, and I am no longer trapped. Do I plan to leave my house today? No.... LOL Why when I have so many fun things to do here? What about you? Monday & Wednesday I featured @Mark Arbour 2009 Anthology story, Furlough.  Tuesday @Myr did a deep dive into the Fantasy Genre. Thursday @Valkyrie announced the Poetry Anthology! Ready to write some prose? She also posted some prompts on Friday if

It might be spring where you are, except our friends in the Southern Hemisphere It was a beautiful day today and will be tomorrow. Only to be followed by snow on Monday and Tuesday  Well I said, darn it and I started my spring cleaning today. OMG, I can't believe how much I threw out, recycling where I can. I started with my pantry. I'll admit I was ashamed of myself . I found stuff at the back of the cupboard that had expired in 2022 😮.  So that leads me to my controversial question for t

Weekly Wrap Up (May 14 - May 20)

For some reason today I am giddy  Not sure why. Maybe you can think up a reason why Steve is giddy today. Let me know? Here is a straw poll, with just over two months to go until the publishing of the Secret Author Contest, who thinks they will write one? WAIT. Full stop, it won't be a secret if you tell everyone here that you will be writing. Unless you are up to trickery and have no plans to write and post that you are going to write. It was pretty quiet this week on the GA News Blo

I'm sure with everything going on in our world's, day to day, and week to week, there is a few things that if we look at our own lives and leave out the rest, there is a lot to be thankful for. Although I'm not 'merican, I'm personally glad that I have GA to come to

Weekly Wrap Up (Dec. 17 - Dec. 23)

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all though the GA house not a creature was stirring, not even a bear, penguin, wolf, eagle, zombie, tiger, cat, or Cindy Lou Who. The stockings were hung by Steve's dryer with care. In hopes that St. Myr soon would be there The GA community were nestled all snug in their beds, while visions of naked men, or women, danced in their heads. And Valkyrie in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap, had just settled our brains for a long winter's nap

I just noticed this was missing, so here is a quick wrap up for the stories posted this week.  I'm sure someone will be along to update the rest of the stuff.  (Psst, sorry Myr, I forgot , Steve) Monday, Cia helped out the Review Team with a new Featured Story.  Thursday Myr got some time to bring us an Anthology Flashback: After some time off to look after the Anthologies, our Prompt Team came back with two new prompts: @Comicality returned Saturday with another new artic

Weekly Wrap Up (Dec. 3 - Dec. 9)

It is starting to look a lot like Christmas   I may have mentioned we had a big dump of snow before Halloween, but that was all melted off since the first week of November. Then we have had temps in the mid to high teens without a drop of moisture until last Thursday. We got a good dumping of snow. I would like my Christmas to be white, but not looking like it as the temp will be in the mid teens (celcius) again next week. Maybe I will have to make a trip to the North Pole   In the mea

Whew it was warm out today. Even with lots and lots of sunscreen, I'm a little red . Luckily when I got home around dinner time, I sat down and turned on Netflix and much to my surprise season 3 had appeared on a series that I really liked the first two seasons of in the spring, Ragnarok. I'm not sure if I plugged it here before or not , but if not, it is about Viking mythology, in todays setting 😮  Before you all run off and jump on your longboats to pillage and plunder unsuspecting p

Hmmmmm, what to discuss today? Tell you what, let's leave it up to you!  Instead of me bringing something up to discuss, what do you want to discuss? In the olden days when people listened to the radio , talk shows would usually have a Friday Free For All. So let's do a Sunday Free For All.  Some rules. Nothing political, nothing overly sexual, so keep it PG  For your own personal safety, I would not discuss what evil  that Valkyrie and Krista have planned for me next . They may include you

Weekly Wrap Up (Dec.31 - Jan. 07)

Well this is my first blog of the new year 🥳 I seriously hope that no one is still recovering from Sunday night and Monday morning   I will keep my question simple. Did you bother with a New Year's Resolution, what was it, and 7 days in are you achieving it?  Now lets jump into the past week. It was a full one! Monday was a day that many of you were looking forward to. Valkyrie published the stories of 11 dedicated fans of Carlos Hazday in memoriam. Check them out if you have ever

Weekly Wrap Up (Nov. 26 - Dec. 02)

Its starting to feel a lot like Christmas... Well, I hope you all are getting in the festive spirit  Maybe not so much myself. The past two weeks and been nightmarishly busy at work and I don't know if I'm coming or a going. Hoping maybe tomorrow will get me out of my bah humbug mood, as we go out to the forests and find Christmas Trees! I won't be getting one as there isn't enough in room my condo, but at least it is the first Christmassy thingy I'll be doing   So what happened l

It seems like when I have nothing better to say, my momma's saying comes out: If you don't have something nice to say, then don't say it at all. Funny thing is, I don't have anything bad to say about anyone. This week   In an effort to bypass Valentines, but feel to bring up if you want, what are some of your mom's momisms? Or do you have a doozie or two of dadisms. One sage piece of advice that my dad imparted on me at a very young age was, don't pee into the wind. I wish I had paid m

Happy real Thanksgiving  At least to my Canadian friends.  You know what that means here, another day off for a long weekend or if you work on Monday, probably will be time and a half  Makes me thankful I live in Canada   This long weekend I find myself dog sitting at the dog's house. Not as in the dog house  but at the house the dog's live with their human friends. They wanted to put them in a kennel as they headed out of town for a celebration of life, but shall we say the doggies ar

Ho hum First day of spring came and we got snow snow snow 😛 Definitely there are those of you out their that are giggling like skewl gurls on the playground  Well I hope your comeuppance comes soon . So was looking for a place that I could find some more gay themed movies than Prime and Nexflix and then came across a free streaming service called Tubi which I believe is available in Canada and the US of A. Their is a lot of movies on there, some not so good quality and some good quali

I'm giddy Now it is up to you to figure out why I'm so giddy   So did you all notice that next week is a 1in every 4 years occurrence, a Leap Year? It seems to me like I don't notice as much, ever since the Winter Olympics were moved from the Leap Year's to two years later and the Summer Olympics stayed on the Leap Year. I guess for the non sports lovers out there, you're saying WTF  If you are a sports follower, I imagine you are more interested in the Summer Olympics than the Winter
