JSmith Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 *cough* So... how about that San Francisco weather then?
Meeko Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 *cough* So... how about that San Francisco weather then? Good point! I wonder how cold it would be there, hopefully colder than hawaii!!
Site Administrator Graeme Posted August 8, 2007 Site Administrator Posted August 8, 2007 *cough* So... how about that San Francisco weather then? I believe the weather at that time of the year is known as "snuggling" weather -- you need to snuggle to keep warm. You'll probably have to find your own snuggling partner, though....

Krista Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 I would think, it would be over all cool in SF in November. It is early November though so I would say cooler temperatures, but not the full effect of late fall early winter with all the wet, ugly, cold, weather. To much later I would expect all the nastiness the autumn season creates. All I know is, the way I pack, I would be prepared for any and everything weather related and that's the only way to pack really. Just don't laugh if you see me dragging a U-haul full of junk just to stay the weekend. Krista
old bob Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Who knows, if there is enough interest, maybe we really do plan and try to do this again in another part of the country/world (I personally liked the idea of a few gathering spots linked together with webcams). So - what think you? Let's hear it... As I said in another topic, I like it. But don't forget us, on the other side of Sea. Frisco is soo far away .What about a meeting in the swiss or french "Alpes" in next winter, skiing or skating ? I just hope that snow will be there, Global Warming is really a threat and nobody knows what will come in the next years .Anybody interested ?
NaperVic Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 (edited) I'll see if I can go. I *thought* you guys said October and I'm going to be at a class first week in Nov. But I'll see if I can reschedule. Take Care Edited August 8, 2007 by NaperVic

LittleBuddhaTW Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 I just got my plane and hotel reservations today ... and I DON'T have to share a room with my boss ... WOO-HOO! It's a pretty damn nice hotel, too ... should be fun! However, wherever we end up going, I'll need a ride ... I'm assuming Dan and Trebs will be able to pick me up at my hotel? *Hugz* Buddha P.S. - I'm scared to meet Joey too, Vic, so don't feel bad! Not scared about meeting Dan and Trebs, though ... those two are getting HUGE hugs from the Buddha!
Trebs Posted August 8, 2007 Author Posted August 8, 2007 Yes David - Dan and I can give you a ride...
rknapp Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 Is it really that hard for GA to keep its mind out of the gutter? I really shouldn't be the one to ask that
AFriendlyFace Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 Just don't laugh if you see me dragging a U-haul full of junk just to stay the weekend. LOL, you'll need that if we do get around to the shopping! OHH, yes! I'd like to go to the French or Swiss Alpes!! I hadn't even thought about the transportation in San Fransisco thing! Is it easy to find taxis, etc?
Trebs Posted August 9, 2007 Author Posted August 9, 2007 Transport is VERY easy - between great buses, muni-trains, and even cable cars!
glomph Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 I think it was Mark Twain who said that the coldest winter he ever spent was one summer in San Francisco. It looks like November on average is just 8 degrees cooler than it is in July. Being surrounded by water, it is somewhat protected from temperature extremes.
LittleBuddhaTW Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 Transport is VERY easy - between great buses, muni-trains, and even cable cars! Ooooh, I want to ride a cable car! Oh, and I'm not scared to meet Kevin either ... he'll get a big hug too!
viv Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 I'll most likely be there too... well, Rich and I Can't wait!! And I'm pretty sure I'll have a back seat rider or two that come along (and no, not the kids)...
Adrian Michaels Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 Aw man, I so won't be making it... TOO FAR Away... oh well... *sniff*
Meeko Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 I'll most likely be there too... well, Rich and I Can't wait!! And I'm pretty sure I'll have a back seat rider or two that come along (and no, not the kids)... Wait a min... so if i can get down there i get to meet Viv? Umm like why wouldn't anyone NOT go? Viv = All <3
JSmith Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 Ooooh, I want to ride a cable car! Oh, and I'm not scared to meet Kevin either ... he'll get a big hug too! lol... Why is everyone scared to meet me? Do you all think I'm some 300 pound biker guy that likes to rip people to shreads or something? And fine, no hug for Buddha!
Benji Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 lol... Why is everyone scared to meet me? Do you all think I'm some 300 pound biker guy that likes to rip people to shreads or something? And fine, no hug for Buddha! ........is anyone keeping a count of those who are coming? (no jokes)
