I realize you are writing them ... and these are the two stories that I read of yours. Some day, I want you to explain why you entiled it the 'Log Way'. And I hope that Nicky and Owen have a talk. I am wondering if Nicky even knew that Owen was in the hospital, or if his parents kept him away. Just a thought, for until the do, then the story won't be finished . And I will be patient about what ever Grandma Alice sent. I mean it is not like I have a choice in this matter. I just hope it is not five chapters in the future. Boy on a String

But for now, I'll answer a frequently asked question here rather than sending out a bunch of individual emails. `The Log Way' -- lots of people seemed to be confused about the title of this story because it doesn't make any sense. Well, you're right, it doesn't. See, the story was originally called `The Long Way,' the new title is a typo-(yes, authors do make mistakes.) I try to edit every chapter before I submit it, so you can imagine how stupid I felt when I realized that I messed up on the title of the first chapter. But, a title's just a title. I'd like to think that the story itself is what' s important. So, there you have it, `The Long Way' has become the `The Log Way.' I hope that answers some of your questions. Try this on for size: The path that Owen and Aiden take to get to their 'spot' in the forest (the place where they first went skinny dipping and spent that day together), is bordered by fallen logs. The locals call the path 'The Log Way', and it represents the journey that Owen and Aiden take in building their relationship. Ok, maybe not. Personally, I like the typo story better. Trebs Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 I just found started reading your stories last week (have been a fan of DK's and saw his posts so thought that was a good enough reference). I just got caught up with all three. OMG - I've loved them. And glad that TLW's title was cleared up here because I was gonna ask about it... thought maybe we just hadn't gotten to that part of the story yet or something. And now... the wait... but that's the great thing about yours and DK's stories - the wait is always so worth it.

Its been 9 Lo(n)g days since we've had an installment of either DD, TLW, or TOU. I'm starting to get the shakes and other symptoms of withdrawal. I hope he's not trying to build up our tolerance by continually increasing the number of days between postings. Maybe I'll go have something sweet to eat as a substitute for my Dom cravings. Like those colored sprinkles you put on top of ice cream. You know, a Dessert Topping (instead of Desert Dropping). j/k, I'll go back to being patient Vic

Trebs Posted April 9, 2005 Posted April 9, 2005 TOU Ch 11 was fantastic - and I keep having various images of what might happen next - can't wait to see how it plays out. But to be honest, not sure it matters which one you finish next - all three of your stories have great characters going through such believable and engaging events... and I equally want to know how they each are doing. It's like having three sets of friends that I talk to - and wondering how they are doing when I get a phone call from one with his latest drama. On another note - damn, I'm dumb. All this time, I've highly enjoyed your stories. And waited... and then a couple days ago I noticed for the first time that the "Short Stories" at the bottom of your page (that I *thought* was just text about what was on the page - I didn't *realize* that it was a link). And so I finally got a treat of reading "The Spirit of James" Until then, my favorite character of yours was Jude. Now it is James (sorry Jude).
