Well, I used "smushable" the other day in my blog, and it was actually with respect to the German way of running two words together to make new ones. The worst example of this is:Donaudampfschiffahrtselektrizit

"Tump" should be a word. Actually, it is a word. My wife, the English teacher, doesn't believe it even when I show her the dictionary entry.

The British use "tump" (rarely) as a noun to refer to a mound or hillock.

In the Southern US, it is used as a verb (usually with "over") meaning to bump or knock something. How many times did my mother tell us "Don't tump your glass over."?

Go ahead, check your dictionary...if you have one of those 50 pound, unabridged ones. Or, you can check http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/tump or http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/tump.

Ummm, very rarely, because I've never heard it used, ever. Will have to look that one up I think.

Gazump. Which was first slang now entered into the oxford English dictionary. It's just one of those words I like the sound of, though the meaning in mean!

Gazump means to refuse to formalise a property sale agreement at the last minute in order to accept a higher offer.

"GAZUMP!" Lol. Sounds like a gulp or something. Now let's use it in a sentence: "I was too cheap and was therefore gazumped by the real estate agent."

Ooh, I've got a word: Gagnet.

Meaning guy magnet. As in, "Brian Kinney is such a gagnet."

Obamagasm (O-ba-ma-gasm)

1. The state of rapture displayed by democrats and liberal pundits over the prospects of Barak Obama in the 2008 Presidential race.

Did you see the old hens on "the View" having Obamagasms this morning? It was embarrassing.

2. The extreme enthusiasm expressed toward Senator Obama's presidential candidacy.

Did you hear the reporters support for Obamma? He totally had an obamagasm! eewww!

3. The peak of excitement that occurs when Obama does anything good, characterized by strong feelings of pleasure, usually accompanied by celebration. Occassionally results in college students blowing their loads in their trousers at the sight of Obama winning a campaign.

After learning of the the 2008 Iowa Caucus results, Steve obamagasmed.

4. Spontaneous orgasm which takes place while listening to Barack Obama speak. Can happen to both men and women, but especially to old black women with large hats.

Oh my God, Chris Matthews just had an Obamagasm!

That sounds alot like the Gorbasams people used to have over Gorbechev back in the 80s.

Ah, but then what else can we expect from them? They're such Obamaphiliacs. :)

I run my library's Young Adult Writers Group, and one the members came up with this one.

Grachorun (noun) demon, devil.

Her grandmother is such a grachorun! I dont know how she got out alive.

A phrase I used in High School and even sometimes now.

Yaoiliciousness - Delicious yaoi 'scenes'. (That manga was full of yaoiliciousness) (yaoi-licous-ness)

That'd be a perfect alternative to cleavage. As in, "Check out her boobage!" followed by a wolf whistle. :P
