Adventure-SciFi Reccomendation?

Hello everyone!

 

This idea just popped to my head the other day.

See, I usually browse this site or nifty, or other similiar site (awesome dude and the like) and search for a story that I like.

 

The problem is, it takes too much time to find a good decent fantasy story.

Most of them isn't finished. It's okay though if it isn't finished as long as it is good really. It's just hard to look for a story of this particular genre.

 

And then I think, why don't I just ask you guys?

 

I love magical - fantasy stories, like Adamagika the Spirits Within by Hamen Cheese or A Summoners Heart by Jamiewhite.

A vampire story and the like is good as well. It IS a fiction too after all, right?

Try to keep the reccomendation list to a fiction - adventure genre only.

 

Oh, I already read all of comsie's and Nephlym stuff. Gone From Daylight totally blew my mind!

... And also Scrolls of Icaria from Awesome Dude site.

 

Any other reccomendation guys? I'm sure I'm not the only one looking for this particular type of story... Right?

Please remember the search parameters on GA as well. If you click on 'Genre' in the Browse options on the left side of the screen, it will bring up all the genres on the site. Try clicking 'Fantasy' and then use the filter results above the story listing that appears. From there you can refine your search to status (complete, if you hate unfinished, I have a hard time with those too), ratings, length, tags...

 

It can't tell you what stories others like the best, but reading the rating/followers/amount of reviews as you look over the final list of stories you get will give you an idea of what is popular with the readers within the stories you get.

If you like fantasy with a bit of magic I heartily recommend the Kandric Saga by Kyle Aarons. It is still in progress.

I would definitely recommend Kandric or any of Kyles stories for that matter. You can find them all at:

They are all works in progress. Actually Kandric has been in progress for about 15 years, but each chapter is well worth waiting for. The same can be said for all of his works.

I just wanna say thanks a bunch for the reply.

Though I already know / read some of your recomendation, some of it were missing from my collection and it's nice to have the links to those missing stories so I can re-collect it sometime later.

 

As for the search parameters in GA..

Would you believe me if I said that I have been through all of them?

Of course I don't read them one by one, sometimes I just look at the writer notes, or read only the first chapter to determine whether or not that particular story hook me.

And sometimes, there's a really good fantasy story, but for some reason it is not listed as a 'fantasy' genre. It's just blank. That's why it's hard to find such stories and why I asked for your help.

Falcon Banner is GREAT sci-fi story! But, I don't think the main char is gay though.... Right? I'm not so sure about it though cuz I read that story like, four years ago or something and that's why the details are a bit fuzzy...

 

All I remember is that it's an awesome sci-fi story. The one that made me can't stop reading it until it is finished.

If I'm not wrong I only read it until the second book. I got the first and the second book free on the internet but for some reason I can't find the next book.

 

The falcon banner story is gone from my collection when my laptop is being stolen though (/cry) and I'm guessing there's no more of those free stories of Falcon Banner like I got in the past eh? Sigh....

Two of the main Charas are gay including The 'Main' one, though one of the reasons I like it a lot is that's its more a story with characters who happen to be gay then a story about gay characters.
