David Bowie Dead At 69

David Bowie was so amazingly talented. He was a singer, songwriter, producer, actor, painter, and a multi-instrumentalist. He died today at 69 after quietly fighting cancer for 18 months. For more than four decades he continued to surprise his fans with his ability to go from one genre to another and his different looks. David Bowie was mysterious and unashamedly androgynous. He made it seem okay to be very different at a time when people just didn't do that.

David Bowie was an incredible man. So talented and such an inspiration.  I loved his music and his acting.  Labyrinth is one of my all-time favorite movies.  He will be missed.

I love many songs,  one of my favorite is  "Under Pressure" and another is "Life on Mars" Such a talanted man, I'm very sad today

Bowie was a part of growing up. Some songs I loved, some less so, honestly.

 

I don't think of him as a great musician, or actor, or producer, though he was certainly talented at all of them.

 

The man successfully reinvented himself over and again. He managed to make and remake himself relevant for decades.

 

Maybe his greatest attribute was as a harbinger of style and fashion. Musical style, lifestyle, appearance, schools of thought. Bowie often sailed in uncharted waters, and shone a light in dark corners.
