The city has a great system there, and it's paid for my the companies, not the citizens - so yay. 2

Phil works for the city, and has access to no cost bus passes, they also pay his fees for the ride share program but it's tax money here 2

Emeryville exists separate from its two larger neighbors, Oakland and Berkeley, only because it allowed Cardrooms (gambling) in an era before Indian Casinos proliferated in the area. Emeryville aggressively courted businesses (including the first of the only two IKEA stores in the Bay Area) creating a density that the transportation infrastructure cannot otherwise support. In the case of the shuttles, hospitals want to encourage employees and visitors to use public transportation to reduce pollution and the need for even larger parking facilities. ;-)

I’ve changed my mind about the song by Nat King Cole and the Count Basie Orchestra (less Count Basie). It’s overproduced, vapid, too stylish, and in that gorgeous ballroom it’s perfect. 4
