Wow, watching the Euro's (soccer) with Michael today when suddenly Denmark's top midfielder collapsed. Like a stone. Players on both teams calling for help ... they worked on him for .. well it felt like forever.  CPR and then electric shock to get him back. Horrible to watch. Just heard he's in hospital and stable for the moment.

F'g freaked me out ... his poor wife was there.. god.

That’s awful. I hope he’ll be okay.

This is the week of bad things turning around into something good.

After my continuing dissatisfaction with Walmart grocery delivery, I've been physically going to the grocery store and Amish market. I occasionally will order delivery from Aldi, which I did this morning from work. I set it up for delivery to my house after I got home.

I got a text asking where to leave the groceries. After a couple of back and forths....figured out the driver was at my work.

Initial WTF moment. He's 40 minutes away. I asked if I could just cancel the order. He then told me that he would bring the groceries to my house....15 miles away.

Now that's proper customer service.

Nice guy...and I  did give him a really good tip.

Hope everyone has a good evening!

Hmmm... well, some of you may not know, i am a fan of classical music and some opera. I was looking for something from Jonas Kaufmann .. and ran across this.  i looked at it and thought, that's Toronto ... and it is, right downtown on the lakeshore.

This wonderful soprano, Teiya Kasahara, who is queer, made 19 of these for people during COVID:

And this duet is my favourite thing by these two and the one from Bryn Terfel and Andrea Bocelli as well.  This is the Pearl Fishers Duet, the part of the opera where these two friends share what nearly drove them apart and their pact to not let it happen again:

Yes, writing anything short takes skills.  Many don't have them. You need to be able to build a frame the reader can see and easily fill in. Good luck in the contest. If you want me to read it.. you can send it to me.

I've written something, and think another author who shall remain wayneless may have too.

rofl! every time

Made an appointment w. a osteopathic specialist in the City to make the hubby happy.  I'm not particularly excited about being told for the 9th time I'm too broken to fix.  :(

i have my fingers crossed that this doctor has a new/different therapy to try

Okay. Maybe I am just being very dim ... but I'm wondering what the requirements are for submitting our Pride short stories.

In one post, we're told we need to post date the stories.

In the next, we're told to copy the link into the thread without mention of post-dating.

Can someone with access to the Writer's Club look at the threads and tell me which is what Renee intended? I messaged her yesterday, but she hasn't replied.

Thanks!

@Wayne Gray that was the most recent link.

Yeah. Other than that first author, I just don't see anybody else posting ... which makes me wonder.

You're  not the only one who's confused. (Dazed maybe 🤭)

To me it looks like a 2 step process. 1st post it to Stories - post dated. 2nd, copy and paste the link to the thread shown. But I'm not sure if post dating even creates a link? I've never done it before.

🤔

I think you're right. It's just odd the second instruction didn't include the post date bit, so I wondered if it was still necessary.

Okay. I think I'm going to go try and set it up, and we'll see how it goes. Wish me luck!

Sometimes people dont until nearly the last minute so they can make changes.
