Popular Post Kitt Posted July 19, 2020 Popular Post Posted July 19, 2020 We had one room air unit in the living room, and fans in the windows of the bedrooms. In particularly hot weather we tacked a blanket over the arch to the rest of the house and we all camped out on the sofas and floor. Was sort of fun except dad always got control of the tv. 6 1

I can still remember when we got the box with the channel buttons on it that was attached to the TV with a long cord, so we didn’t have to get up to change the channel. Talk about high-tech. 1 1 4

Have a good day! Good. I'm glad you're feeling better. No one has the right to ask for your personal info online. It wasn't on GA, but no matter where, no one should be asking that. If you have to prove you're a friend, the one asking is not. 2 5
Popular Post Kitt Posted July 19, 2020 Popular Post Posted July 19, 2020 Good Lord it is gross out there! Actual temp 93* with a feels like of 103*. Thank god my girls showed first thing this morning before it got bad, and we are home in the air now! Yeah for three seconds and a reserve for one girl! Bags of ice for the one that crashed and burned because she knew better than me what line to take into a tight jump. Maybe next time she will listen! 6 1

The first T-storm has been and gone, so it’s gotten a little cooler, so I’m happy with that. Sometimes, you have to learn the hard way. 5

You, tim, and everyone else has an absolute right to privacy when it comes to personal information. I'm glad that it wasn't on this site. Beside the fact that it's ruder than all hell, it's just plain wrong. True friends already know the person that you are, the good the bad and the downright ugly and they still love and accept you. If someone out there wants to pry where they shouldn't, then they deserve to be shut down. I'm happy you're feeling better tim, you and Mike enjoy the rest of your day and stay cool! 8

I saw too much when I worked in Child abuse / online when I was still a detective. I've seen it all things I will not forget. tim was told (he likely didn't need to be but it's my role to protect him) before allowed being online, no sharing pictures of himself or me and no handing out personal details .. to anyone. If that's a problem people have, they stay away from them. The question wasn't asked on this site, but it was someone from here. Not here in the DiC. It's all very sad and frankly after so many years rather pathetic and disgusting. In any case, it was s difficult thing and very upsetting to tim. He' doing better today thankfully. 6 3

Now I am very curious what's going on, but I shouldn't ask. Don't tell anyways, if it's something very private. Part of the reason I am here (despite there are certain some quirky issues) is because I feel I am safe around here. I hope that stays the same. Anyways, I am glad you are feeling better. I rather like the anonymity that these forums provide. It's a personal choice for each individual as to what they post for their profile picture. There are so many interesting ones. I like conjuring my own images of the people who interact here. I know for a fact that 10 times out of 10 I am totally off base. It always cracks me up when you talk with someone on the phone frequently for your work and then when you see them in person it's the complete opposite of what you pictured in your mind! My boss and I had a mental picture of one of the regional managers who is always on the group meeting calls. Going by his voice, which has a heavy NY accent we pictured him as a cross between a young Joe Pesci, Al Pacino with a little Danny Devito thrown in, short, stocky, dark hair. When we actually saw a picture of him we nearly died laughing. Tall, blonde and about 20 years older than we thought. Sites like this one gives us an opportunity to show a glimpse of our true selves without the fear of being judged, while still protecting ourselves. 6 2
