what a day!
so i told all y'all that "they" (management) dropped our biggest client in my project coordination pile
well, almost an hour over two meetings and i discovered just how much untangling i have to do
but, i'm up for it

spent 10 minutes this evening with a guided meditation that helped some, once i was able to settle in that it

now, i'm watching the NASCAR All Star Race with Number One Son, talking about nothing

i am going to say good night here though

Morning all. 

SP and I took the oldest dog to the vet a few days ago and got him a prescription anti-inflammatory for his arthritis. We'd tried to give him some over the counter stuff from a pet store but he wouldn't touch it, and it was apparently strong enough of a smell that when we tried to hide it in his food he wouldn't eat.  Good news is the scrip from the vet is working.  It's great to see him bounding about and moving more freely; he's obviously in a lot less arthritis pain.

That’s really good news, Fae. It’s always hard when our fur kids are suffering, and great when they’re happy and playful.

file this under silver linings: when you hit a rough patch at work & your Husband is 4 feet away from you, it's possible to get a hug that resets your day.

also a 30 minute nap after work is possible & delightful 😁

 I wish I could. Our regional manager is here from our main office. I was told this week that because my organizational skills are better than the other manager's at our sister property next door I get to go work over there one day a week to help her out. 

That manager is 31 flavors of Baskin Robbins crazy. All the maintenance guys run when they see her coming. 

I see a lot of biting my tongue in the future. Oy. 

I think I need to be more disorganized...to hell with the anxiety that comes with it.

Hugs are the best way to reset. I'm a little jealous, lately my husband hasn't been getting home until an hour or two after me 😕

molly yes hugs and naps are both good things to brighten a day.

Hope the day is going well.  

I cannot wait for the weekend. The local drive in is playing a double feature of the neverending story and labyrinth.  Its like the movie theatre, but without overpriced snacks and ya know, other people's germs.

LOL.  Sorry.  I used to work for managers like that....  And sometimes I feel it doesn't pay to work hard, as they really punish you for it (as I was punished to be held at a higher standard).  EDIT:  doesn't mean you shouldn't work hard, but we all are trying to do the right thing.

Unfortunately instead of rewarding the organized hard workers, bosses end up depending on them to fix the screw-ups of the less desirable employees. Has the effect a really stressing the Achievers out.

It's hard when dealing with one of those really loud people who call everyone 'honey' and laugh at the end of every sentence, even when it's inappropriate. 

I've decided the best thing to do is to stay positive and do my job like I always do.

Friday morning!!  thankfully -- yesterday was a bit of a demoralizing day.

I'll agree that working from home lets you hug your partner and get an emotional boost to keep going, but some things would be easier to take care of at the office. On the other hand, none of us in our Dept. are really ready to go back.  They did get the plexiglass barriers up and in place on our desks so that's a good thing.
