Site Administrator Popular Post Valkyrie Posted October 31, 2020 Site Administrator Popular Post Posted October 31, 2020 Happy Halloween and Blessed Samhain! I have chili in the crockpot and will make peanut butter brownies shortly. I have a little bit more housework to do to get ready for my guest. One of my friends is going to stay the night. We'll watch movies and see if we get any trick or treaters. I have Reeses peanut butter cups, my mask, and a set of tongs to hand out the candy, so I'm all ready. 1 6

What happens when the door is opened? 6 hours ago, dughlas said: I like it. It does have a bit of Halloween feel ... a what dwells behind the unopened door. Hmmm, imagine the potential that question poses for the authors on GA. Never thought of using it as a story prompt... Good idea, guys! Actually, although that door is painted brown, the paint is badly cracked and peeling, revealing a similar coat of cracked and peeling green paint underneath... That made me think of the song Green Door made famous by Shakin' Stevens back in 1981 (although I'm actually old enough to remember Frankie Vaughan's original hit with the song in 1957), with the opening lines of: Midnight... One more night without sleeping. Green door... What's that secret your keeping? Spoiler Of course, I know what's behind the door. Maybe for my next weekly black and white photograph I'll actually open the door, use a wide-angled lens, put "TN" on a tripod, and take a long exposure photograph to let the rest of you see what actually is in the small dark room that lies behind it... While I enjoyed the films with Roger Moore his Bond seems more cartoonish. Brosnan was in my mind the prettiest and his films played more like modern day dime store novels. While I wasn't sure at first, I've come to like Daniel Craig's portrayal the most. 6

Sadly, the spider got them all. Well, except for that sort of slow one bringing up the rear. Him, he tripped and shot himself in the foot. Spider passed him by. 6 1
