They had a sticky back that you had to lick (like old fashioned postage stamps) to make them stick. We would spend many a happy hour cutting them into six inch lengths and then threading them together to make the Christmas decorations to hang from the ceilings, or thread from picture rail to picture rail across the room. In primary school we used to cut strips from red and green art paper to make chains to decorate out classroom for christmas. 2 3 2

Sherye Story Reader Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 You turn bright red when you text someone something and realize it was not the person you meant to text! Thank goodness it was not anything naughty and I sent it to a family member! But I did awhile ago send a text to my sister when I was trying to text someone else about a king size bed frame my sister sold to the lady. But I texted my sister instead and she started laughing! Oh well, there goes my senior moment for the day! Well, I hope it is the only senior moment today! lol 5

Sherye Story Reader Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 Ok, I have a one question test for you! My late husband told me this was on a math test he had to take in high school and no one got it right! If you are going down the road 55 mph (88.51 kph) and there is a fly in the vehicle. And the fly is flying from front to back. How fast is the fly flying? 5

And the fly is flying from front to back. How fast is the fly flying? How fast relative to the inside of the car, or how fast relative to the outside of the car? And in either case I reckon we would need to know the length the fly travelled inside the car, and the time it took to travel that distance. (But maybe Drew will know some other way of reaching a solution that I'm not aware of...) 4 2

Popular Post dughlas Posted December 9, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 9, 2020 G'day y'all. Another bright and chilly day is dawning. It's just a bit above freezing just like yesterday. Seems we're on a slight roller coaster. Temps drop below "normal" for a day or two, then warm to said normal for a day or two before rising above normal for a couple days before repeating the cycle. Mum and I are almost finished baking cookies. We should be done tomorrow or Friday. This morning I'll take advantage of the weather to make the last couple batches of peanut brittle. My son and dil had been thinking of coming to visit between Christmas and New Years but last night we talked with Jon and asked them to stay in PA. We would really like to see them. I saw them in Oct but mum hasn't seen them in over a year. With COVID we just don't think it's safe for any of us for them to travel here. 6
