Colorful sleeves on tone muscle arms! Agreed. But there is also a limit on the number of tats as well. And frankly, some people wouldn't look good with them. I'm one of them. 3
Popular Post dughlas Posted November 18, 2018 Popular Post Posted November 18, 2018 One piercing, left earlobe when I was 23. At the time that was pretty avantegarde for the conservative area where I grew up. I've considered a tattoo. A celtic dog in honor of my pups. 5 3

Especially names. I don't want to be in the moment of a good time, and look down and see "Grandma Milly, RIP." All interest lost at that point. Names can be slightly off-putting, it's true. I also find portrait tattoos iffy, as most of them are kind of awful, but I do know a tattoo artist who does them extremely well. I like words, though. My ex has "Amor fati" tattooed on her wrist. She's a philosophy nerd and loves Nietzsche, so... I've had this idea for an upper arm sleeve since forever, with bits of song lyrics. But they'd be in like a flowy font and kind of intertwine and form a pattern, you know? 3

Popular Post Carlos Hazday Posted November 18, 2018 Popular Post Posted November 18, 2018 @TetRefine I'm with you in the balanced approach. A pierced ear that hasn't seen an earring in at least a decade and somewhere between 20 and 25 tats, I don't feel like counting right now. Right sleeve is all water-related: Poseidon, dolphins, a sea turtle, a clown fish, assorted jellyfish, and waves tying them all together The left sleeve is fire: Hephestus, a fire-breathing dragon, a motorcycle engine, a phoenix, and flames tying them all together. Back is air. Two tats: small hurricane warning flags on the back of the neck and wings spreading from shoulder to shoulder. All those lat pulldowns and military presses gave me a broad back and the artist took advantage of my size. The front is earth. My motorcycle model's logo on left pec, a compass rose on the right one. Also the outline of Florida on my left ribcage. That one hurt like a mofo so it was never balanced. I also have Loyalty and Honesty spelled out on the sides of my torso and a dolphin mostly covered by pubic hair. (That was my first one and I didn't want it to show even when wearing a Speedo.) The arm ink is anchored on both sides by Taurus logos. One's rounded and the other one squarish. Pretty sure I'm done. And based on what I've seen: I WIN! lol 4 2 3

Jason Rimbaud Posted November 19, 2018 Posted November 19, 2018 I first pierced my ears when I was 17, my friend shoved a safety pin through my ear one morning before school. I returned the favor. Before i I was done, I had seventeen, seven ear, both eyebrows, nose, two lips, tongue, navel, two collarbone, one Prince Albert i didn’t get my first tattoo until I was thirty. By then I lost all the piercings but two in my ear, currently diamond studs. As for tattoos, I designed all four of them and each has a special meaning. Two on each arm. But I will be getting another one soon, mine and my fiancé’s birthdays, I drew it out and we will be getting matching ones as my engagement present. 1 1 1

Popular Post Parker Owens Posted November 19, 2018 Popular Post Posted November 19, 2018 It’s funny, but I never wanted any when I was younger. Now I’m thinking about it. I suppose a tat is cheaper than a red sports car... 10

Popular Post Dodger Posted November 19, 2018 Popular Post Posted November 19, 2018 (edited) I'm a tattoo virgin and never been pierced so I fall into the first category. I'm also allergic to pain and discomfort and hate sitting down for long periods with anything to do. Too much like going to the dentist for my liking but who knows. Never say never. mollyhousemouse Posted November 19, 2018 Posted November 19, 2018 i was able too sit, well lay there, for the whole 2+ hours the pain wasn't HORRIBLE more of a discomfort until the very end Phil said He was very proud of me, but i can see how it's not for everyone 3 1

My mom, who always said tattoos were trashy things for trashy people, ended up getting two at 51 on her ankle. I got the two sayings from her mom and dad tattooed on my back, and she got them tattooed on her ankle. 5
Thorn Wilde Posted November 20, 2018 Posted November 20, 2018 I can't hear or read 'Prince Albert' without being reminded of this. (Content warning: swearing and kind of offensive, but I think I can forgive Robin Williams almost anything...) 1 1

Though for complete disclosure, I did pierce my friends nipple one night after a few adult beverages. Which led to a fun evening in the back of his truck later one after the bonfire died down but thats a different story. 4 3
