It's on island off the coast of the Yucatan in Mexico. It's one of the top cruise destinations in the Caribbean.

first, we've done a big step forward in the time. I think it might be for the best it might have gone a little boring always the same, show, eric and jon with a groupie, travel to the next city, :P

Yep, there was a time jump, of several weeks, and you got it exactly right; I needed to move the timeframe along, because otherwise you would have ended up with lots of chapters which were concert, touring some sites, and that's about it. So, a time jump. :)

Actually, from the literature I've read, it's not that uncommon. It's just that having a gay father is a lot less common than having a gay son. I've got no statistics, but the anecdotal evidence I've heard indicates that a reasonable percentage of children (especially adult children) don't accept when one of their parents comes out of the closet.

That part I can comment on. :)

Yep, it is indeed quite common, unfortunately.

Okay, there is a very great deal I can't comment on, and yes, this chapter was loaded with clues:) I can say, however, that the next chapter is entitled "Revelations".

Okay, as usual,, i have questions! LoL. How did the Scar's method of getting the Krytons come across? I kept it brief as I din't want excessive sub-plots, but per the text, he hired a killer who kidnapped a daughter of an industrialist, and has the killer send her back to her father piece by piece as a method of persuasion.

I felt it read better as a concise entry, so I wrote it that way. We have already seen both Dimitri and The Scar kill in person, so I figured I didn't need to show anything up close with the victims.

BTW, Am I making it clear enough what Kryton switches are? They are an essential component of a nuclear weapon, and control timing to the 39 detonators to the millisecond. They are real components, BTW.

B) ..............The kidnaping sounded like ? John P. Getty Jr. ? (I think :( ) The entire construction of the weapon down to the switches, well ..........I once held a G8 clearance and goat you got me nervous

I couldn't find any pics of Kryton switches (which get your story in the first page of a Google search, btw, though not as well ranked as typing queen of evilest cliffhangers, though.)

I think the Scar is not that bad, since he sends the daughter back to his father, though in pieces (the last ones promising to be bigger but equally inanimate). I'm sure in the last chapter he'll turn out to have done all this for a good reason, like being employed by some secret services protecting the free world. I'm not losing faith in the guy.

ok, a possibly crazy theory that I want to throw out so I can take credit later if I happen to be right:

Jerry = The Scar. It sounds crazy, but with his line of work, he'd have cover for traveling seemingly randomly all over the world. Key quote from ch21: " 'I

Key quote from ch21: " 'I'll be in Australia much of the time you are there and I have a few contacts that might be of help. I have a way of making things happen, you know,' Jerry said with a wink." While the above posts do point much more so to Gunter, he wouldn't really need help to take out Instinct (assuming that's the target), since he does all their security.

B) ......I had figured Instinct was going to be used in the shipping, Jerry may figure in, I don't know. But Gunter is a new twist to me! I still wonder about earlier characters whom we haven't heard from since the first chapters.

I kinda like that theory. I won't say if I agree or not right away tho, because I don't like to be wrong. :P but I say that it make perfect sense to me. because indeed bad guys does need to have great cover. A shipping company make it the best.

But I'll still say that G

I was reading through the posts and realized I haven't commented on this chapter :o .

First off, Eric, what a guy :2thumbs: . He just keeps giving and giving. Who else but Eric would be willing to get Steve drunk so Wilde can have a chat with him. On top of that, he reluctantly agreed to take on not one, not two, but three girls so Wilde could have his chat :P . I'm still hoping that CJ will disclose their conversation behind closed doors.

Second, I honestly can say, that the descriptions of Rome made me actually want to visit it. Since CJ has been there a few times, I wonder how much change in the Trevi fountain is his own?

This passage kinda has me wondering a lot:

It was simply a risk he had little choice but to take, for the moment, because he needed Mario

I would speculate that perhaps the "famous people" that are going to be in America are The Shadows, not necessarily Instinct. I made more sense to me in terms of my understanding of the schedule for each band *shrug*

I don't know. I wouldn't consider The Shadows as "famous people". I mean, it's been said at more than one occasion that they needed the gig to really launch their career. They're still an opening act, so I wouldn't say that about them just yet.

I agree. The famous person is more likely a member of Instinct. They are the famous people in the story. I'm going with either Brandon or Chase. The couple has not suffered major hardships yet.

:o Don't say that, :o Brandon couldn't live without Chase. I'd rather like it to be Eric,,, don't touch either Brandon nor Chase.

I don't think the accident will be deadly. I think there might be a coma followed by a miraculous recovery.

:pissed: yeah he could he did it for how many years?

As for Tigers comments about the couple not facing major hardships yet. I'd agree that this lack would lend to something brewing for them. I don't think so though. If it were a story centered completely on them I would agree, but Let the Music Play has so much more going for it other then Brandon and Chase's relationship. I honestly don't think the scar was refering to single member of Instinct, if they were in his sights he would surely want them all gone. Perhaps he is refering to someone else, even Jerry?

Well as far as the famous person goes, are we over looking someone completely?

Really, what does any of the members of Instinct, The Shadows, their entourages, or Jerry really have anything to do with the other story so far.

CJ did tell us the two stories would intersect, but has anything happened yet that would indicate the two stories are connected? Maybe it is something in the future, possibly happening in Australia that would make the two stories intertwine.

I'm beginning to wonder if CJ put the "famous" and "four times the normal amount" to throw us off the true path. We are all absorbed with the Instinct story, it may have nothing at all to do with the two stories at all.

The only other possible famous person was Charity's Dad who I believe was a Senator. That would make him famous, and make his assassination worth four times the normal amount. Maybe he is on some committee that has something to do with the unrest in Paraguay. Maybe he is the obstacle keeping The Scar from having his own country.

Two days to go till hopefully some of these questions are answered.

"They" could mean one or more. So there is the possibility that the whole band, along with Helen and Barbra, could be killed in a bus accident.

Not that I would want to see that happen.

Okay... I just read all the chapters this weekend (thanks to the five day week).

And since this is a thread discussing the chapters, I am in no danger of giving away spoilers.... :)

So here goes....

CJ, I am simply loving LTMP!!! The subtle plot disclosures you give in between regarding The Scar is awesome! Hmmm... The Scar...whats with you and these funky names...First Blackheart and then Scar...

There were some cliffhangers in the story, but I will not name them.. :P They were quite good, in fact. I am going to say this, don't hold it over my head, but I am going to say it... The cliffhangers/suspense/drama in your stories is what makes me come back to your index page again and again to read your stories. :) There, I said it!!! Phew!

Well, I'm feeling all mushy due to reading all those chapters, some of them are so adorable. The pranks Eric plays are wonderful, except for the one where he jumped off the third storey! I also hate the paparazzi, but you'd have to admit that without them, would we have some of those many sleazy pics of hot actors??? :P

I am really looking forward to more chapters from LTMP...

P.S

You have a fan :o in an Indian Rock Band???!!! LOOK----> Let The Music Play

But this is CJ we are talking about. CJ scares me when he usually surpasses the harshist thing I can think of is to happen... :pickaxe:

That's why loyal fans like myself read the story when it's fresh off the press, young padawan. :D
