Yes, @Ronyx has the candle lit on his site. I just lit one and read his story. It's heartbreaking. He sounds like he was a very mature and talented teenager.

December Classic Author Feature: Tyler by Vlista

Me too! -
Graeme, is this the Codey from light a candle for Codey? Very, very sad. Thanks, Myr, for showcasing some previous anthos. I absolutely LOVE the anthos, so I'll need to check out the earlier ones.

Diaz does not know what he's getting into now that Klaus is doing him another favor. Diaz is such an asshole. Klaus wants to make the streets safe again, and all Diaz wants to do is illegal shit. I do wonder why Jake recoiled when Klaus mentioned his parents. Oh, and I was confused about that guy who was in jail. From what I understood, he was in jail, became someone's bitch, told his girlfriend, and she told the gang. But then Jake said he never showed up at their meeting place. But wasn't he still in jail? That confused me. Unless I'm just being stupid. This was another awesome chapter, Laura! I'm looking forward to the next one.

Cross Country - Full of Surprises
Lisa commented on Roe St. Alee's story chapter in Cross Country - Full of Surprises
I absolutely loved this story, Roe! It started out nice and slow but ended with a bang! A few of them actually. Seriously though, this is a great story. You could actually develop it into more than one chapter. (another hint, hint --- since you so kindly posted HIGC, I thought this hint, hint might work too. ) -
I really enjoyed this chapter. I think it's great that Joey is considering coming out to his students. They do need a positive role model, and gay or straight, Joey is a great role model. I'm glad he has the dirt on Arnold. What a scumbag. The boys need to press charges against him so he can go to the big house and become Bubba's bitch.

I was thinking the same thing @spikey582 was thinking: Carbon monoxide doesn't smell, so what was Nats smelling? Now, if it were me who found Jake, and I was innocent of any wrongdoing, I would have done just what Nats did. When I realized Jake was dead, I would have immediately called 911, then turned the heater off, not thinking the room could be a crime scene. Since it was so hot in there, I would have also opened up the windows. I think I would have spent some more time crying over the body, though. It didn't sound like she threw her arms around Jake and cried for him. Jake's mother is an absolute waste. In her alcohol-infused brain, does she even realize her son is dead? Will she even remember the conversation with Murphy and Rush? This story is absolutely fascinating, Cole! I love mysteries!

Nope...that title will always be mine! Ha, at least I can be number one on THAT list! Woot! Woot! I'm number three! I'm number three! (said in a sing-song voice) Ok, sorry, my inner five-year-old took over for a minute.

Did you Read and Review the Fall 2017 Anthologies?
Lisa commented on Myr's blog entry in Gay Authors News
I have one more to read and comment on. The stories for this antho are so good! I wouldn't even be able to pick out which one I loved the best. The authors really outdid themselves. -
Great post @Renee Stevens and @craftingmom ! Number 3 is a must! I use a thesaurus every time I edit. And I really love your examples of show, don't tell, CM! Are there really rhyming dictionaries? That's so cool!

Awesome! Kudos to Trick for making the first move! Now they can go on a real date instead of just 'hanging out.'

All I Want for Christmas…
Lisa commented on ObicanDecko's story chapter in All I Want for Christmas…
I'm glad Zoe and Brad have changed their minds about Cody. He really has matured over the last 3+ years. I understand how Zoe feels about Cathy and Brad; I wouldn't feel comfortable hanging around the dorm room while they're doing whatever. Being jealous or not being jealous, I still wouldn't feel right hanging around. I just hope Brad's relationship with Cathy doesn't ruin his relationship with Zoe. -
Jackson is so funny! I remember this party, so I'm looking forward to the next chapter or two.

I'm so excited you're posting this here, Roe! It's one of my favorite stories. It's been so long since I read the beginning of the story that it feels all new to me. Which is great because I can read much of it with fresh eyes.

Cross Country - Full of Surprises

And....I see it's posted!!!! -
What a sad, sad chapter. Gene really does need to talk to somebody. How can he keep all these feelings bottled inside his head? He's going to break one day; he's starting to already. I'm just hoping and praying that he didn't knock Tina up. That would be the worst thing to happen. He's misplacing all his anger for himself on Joey --- blaming Joey for everything that has gone wrong in his life. Like always, Ron, I'm anxiously awaiting the next chapter.

Roe!! I am so glad you joined GA! Welcome! I'm excited to read your new story! Will you be posting How I Got Carter? I think the readers would love that story too. -
Wow. My eyes are still trying to blink away the tears. What a powerful and poignant story, Northie. Alzheimer's and dementia are two (are they the same?) of the top things I worry about getting. It's so scary to think that one day your children or grandchildren will come to see you and you won't know who they are. It's heartbreaking to think how upset they would be knowing that I don't recognize them. I agree with @Carlos Hazdaythat the point where you ended the story is perfect. I don't think I could bear to read how little time Max and Saul really had in the end. Will was a gem, and he made his father's last days/weeks/months (years?) so happy bringing Saul back into his life. It's heartbreaking for me to think of all the years Max and Saul were unhappy because they weren't together. Like @jfalkon, I also thought you wove the past and present together beautifully. You wrote such a beautiful and well-written story, Northie.

Ok, full disclosure: I wasn't going to read this since two of the story tags were were-creatures and vampires, and that's not my thing. But @Valkyrietold me I should give it a shot because it was such a good story, so I listened. I'm glad I did. The story was very well written, it was intriguing and compelling, and after each paragraph I just wanted more. Like the beast and his blood. Excellent job, C.T.

Ok, so as I was moving my cursor to start my comment, I went over something on the top line I didn't mean to, and now I don't know how to delete it. Omg, this is too funny! I found the icon that indicates spoiler, and I thought if I right click it, there would be an option to delete it. Boy was I wrong! Now I have FOUR empty spoilers I don't know how to get rid of!!! So please disregard them. So...back to the story. I'm glad Trick is giving Cody a chance, and I'm proud of Cody for coming clean to Brad. Hopefully in the next chapter he'll be able to come clean to Trick.

Whew, I'm almost caught up now! I loved this chapter because it showed Klaus that Jake is smart, and he's a hard worker. I'm relieved Jake had a good time at the site. Hmm, maybe that's what he'll tell Diaz what he's been doing all this time. I think I've said this before, but it sounds like Klaus is doing things not just because they're physical, but also because he's letting his emotions start to emerge, which is new for him. As his past lover complained how he's so mechanical with everything including sex, he can't be that way with Jake because Jake is so unpredictable. And Jake is pushing all his emotional buttons. On to the next chapter.

I needed a plethora of tissues for this chapter. I certainly understand Gene's hatred for his father. I don't blame him. I do think, however, if Gene had talked to him at some point after Allen died, he would have realized he was talking to a more understanding father. Gene's father realized way too late that he had been horrible to Allen. He never thought he had emotionally damaged Gene in the process. And why was Gene so surprised Joey had a kid? Didn't he know gays can adopt? Or did he think Joey was batting for the other team? I think the best part of this chapter was Douglas coming out to Travis and Jason. I'm anxiously awaiting the next chapter, Ron.

Well, maybe Gene's dad's death will be the catalyst in getting a line of communication going between he and Joey. Rodney turned out to be an asshole. Good riddance to bad rubbish. I am beyond thrilled, however, reading about Nicky's adoption!!!! Yay!!!! That is absolutely wonderful!!
