    I haven't had a chance to read London and Love yet, but I've read other stories by carringtonrj and enjoyed them. Do you find that that it's the characters or the plot that drives your stories? Do you write outlines or notes when you're writing or just write as it comes to you?

    Speech and singing are processed in different parts of the brain, so people with severe aphasia that can't speak--or can only speak a few words--are able to sing fluently. The guy in the video reminds me of a former patient of mine that had severe aphasia and apraxia (difficulty with motor planning-so he know what to say, but can't physically say it) of speech. He couldn't say any words volitionally, but could swear just fine. lol He could also sing "happy birthday" perfectly fluently. Thank you for sharing this. It brought tears to my eyes. I am going to share with my speech therapist colleagues.

    Interesting start. You've set the scene nicely and given us a good glimpse into David. I'm curious to see Mike's side of the story. He already seems distant, just from the text exchange. I look forward to what's next.

    I started this story, but don't think I finished it. I'm not sure why, since I did enjoy it. I'll be sure to continue reading where I left off.

    I like both formats for Weekly Wrap-Up. It's nice to read the commentary about the week, but the quotes look like. I'm really looking forward to reading the Summer Anthology stories. I struggled with the theme, so it will be interesting to read others' interpretations.

    I was a bit confused at first, but you slowly introduced elements of what was happening and painted a vivid picture. Not easily done with a monologue. Good job

    I was never so relieved to see anyone in my life! lol It honestly never occurred to me to call the police. I was too stubborn to even let my boyfriend at the time come over. lol I can still hear that raspy voice on the phone... *shudder* I'm glad the creepiness came through. Thanks for the review!

    Thanks! I'm glad it worked. I thought I might have rushed it too much. Too bad we didn't have caller ID back then. The only thing we could think of was that someone targeted the place because of the wedding announcement. I felt horrible that they had to end their evening early, but there was no way I was going to sit on that couch, terrified, for any longer. lol Thanks for the review.

    Great ending! You brought me back to my school days when I used to perform in the theatre productions. I had to laugh at the scenery falling, because the same thing happened to me when I was in sixth grade and I had to miss my scene. I was so upset at the time! I really enjoyed this story.     I absolutely love this excerpt. The connection between the two men is palpable and it only gets better from there! Well, with a few bumps along the way, of course I think it's time we started bugging Rob for the next installment in this series!
