It's a good decision by the boys to be a bit secretive. Otherwise, the weekend might end up being about their relationship and not college. They shouldn't have to hide, but it feels like neither of them is ready to be out like that. It will be exciting to see how Matt's friends react to Parker. I have a feeling some will suspect something... The whole "normal" issue is a bit difficult. On one hand, I can understand the desire to be just like everybody and not be defined by only your sexuality. On the other, it can be important to be visible as a gay person. Otherwise, you might suddenly find yourself viewed as not nirmal, just because people don't realise it's really quite common and gay people are just like everyone else. So, how do you combine normal yet visible? Without telling everyone you're gay...? Not so easy.

There is something so very compelling about this story! I can't help but be fascinated by these two. They are getting under each other's skin and they don't like it. They just can't help it. I get the feeling it's dad who wants Kel dead, since he's finally tired of him. Its kind of an elaborate plan, but maybe he really doesn't want to be connected to the killing.

I've been trying to figure out Malachy's big plan, but I couldn't really come up with a good theory. The full moon means shifting. Could he want to shift into Kyle's body instead? No, he wants to stay with Hazel and he doesn't know Nick had left Purgatory... Otherwise, he might try and stuff Nick in Kyle. And not in the fun way... Is it weird I kind of like Malachy? Oh, well. I'll just have to wait for the next chapter!

When Hel comes back in his human body, he really needs to have a serious conversation about all this. One that doesn't end so abruptly. Maybe James isn't the one to talk to. Hel feels to much about him. Even if he doesn't know the answer to the question "boys or girls" yet, he seems in desperate need to understand his awakaning feelings. He's very innocent.

That was some fight! Very well written. I felt like I was watching it instead of reading it. It's hard to see this pair suddenly change their tune from kill to kiss, but that only makes the story even more addicting. What will happen all those hours in the chamber? Perhaps Rick can use his brain instead of brawn to get Andy to see reason. Trouble is we don't really know who is on the right side. We only have Rick's side of the story. To get people to agree to a suicide mission, the Mainland will have to have some story to convince people they are in the right.

It would be interesting to hear if the pastor would have the same conversation with a member of the church who writes murder mysteries? Some of the newer crime books are really creepy. If anything would lead people astray, it's those books. Not that I would want anyone to have to stop writing creepy crime. I just DON'T READ THEM! Simple solution, pastor... You just keep writing, Caz!

I can't help thinking anger got him through that phone call, but the sadness after hanging up must be terrible... I'm a generally forgiving person, but dishonesty is something I just can't tolerate.

They're getting so close to that secret! Just hope trust builds in time for Casey to rely on Shawn when Uncle Meanie sets his plan in motion. I have a feeling it's not far off...

I felt sorry for Sabrina and Jimmy. They seem to have ended up collateral damage in the Brian-Snowflake situation. Maybe they can comfort each other? I mean, three's a nice crowd, but four is just a mess...

Malachy... It's getting more and more difficult to keep his secret. If he brings back Kyle, won't he know who Malachy really is? Like Shane and Riley knew Nick wasn't Nick. He should make plans to vacate the premises. It's not a long term solution to occupy your "dead" son's body...

It was interesting to get to know Roger a bit more. He's not the bastard he was made out to be, but a person like everyone else with flaws and good points. Josh really needs to come to some kind of resolution about Henri and Blackjack. He was hurt bad and has built himself a nice, numb fort where he won't be hurt ever again. Only now, Galen is on the way to break down the walls. It seems to me something drastic needs to happen to shake Josh out of that comfort zone. Question is what..?

I lost my dad when I was six and now the empty space a missing parent makes. They might be gone, but they never leave. Living with a presence that can be felt but not seen is sometimes difficult. That's way it's so important to talk about them. Loved this little scene.

Silas will be navigating the band not only to Boise but to fame perhaps? I hope they will find their way back to each other. Not just Silas and Brady, but Silas and the band.

I think Casey needs to tell Shawn his secret asap. I have a feeling he will need help really soon. Martin seems to be willing to do just about anything to protect his investment... And isn't the full moon coming?

Wow! I was reading that at double speed! So thrilling! I can't help but hope that he can get though to Andy and stop him. If he indeed is planning to destroy the plant. Seems kind of hard to explain his action any other way. Hmm... Will Rick catch him and then have to drag around a prisoner since maybe there is someone higher up on the Mainlanders payroll? I'm getting visions of Rick and a reluctant Andy trying to find a way through the city without being caught, trying to find answers. Perhaps, that attraction wasn't just a show...

Hmm.. It seems to me like Malachy is getting awfully comfortable in Nick's body and attached to Hazel. How will Nick convince him to give it back? Still, Malachy doesn't strike me as a complete monster, but love can make you do bad things to keep it... I hope Cyan isn't too sweet on Sasha. I would hate to see him hurt. All he's done is trying to comfort Sasha. How can you possibly think we wouldn't like a long chapter? We always want more!

He's lucky to have found a friend like Chelsea. She just might be powerful enough to break down his walls and force him to realise he's not alone and doesn't have to be. He's 16 and has been fending for himself in any way necessary for a very long time. Of course he will overreact and go into extreme protection mode when he feels threatened.

So Ian was his brother? I pegged him as much older than Silas, so I was a bit confused. Age differences that big aren't so common where I live. Parents choosing a church over a child... I can't see any god being pleased by that. I hope Silas has the courage to slow down his running and take a chance on Ian.

Oh, this was a great first chapter! Lucky me, my evening is saved by 4 more! I thought the man was his uncle?

What a horrible choice to make for Nick! But if he didn't get out, he would have no chance of saving Shay.

So great to see the guys have friends who stand up for them and protect them. Jasper is a clever guy. A ginger too...
