If people could be more open at times and allow themselves to divert from the mainstream, I think more would be happier and some relationships last longer. Sure, being more than two people takes a bit of work, but twosomes aren't exactly a picnic either. Being open to meet your and your partner's needs is difficult, no matter how many you are. I can sort of picture them all living together somewhere. One big, happy family.

I find it so adorable that Rob asks his 15 yo brother about the essence of true love. Youth never denies itself on holding all the answers. Sure, people on occasion do meet their life partners at such a young age, but more likely Eric and Nelson will have a great relationship and then grow apart. Does that mean it wasn't love? In my book, no. It's love until it isn't anymore. Doesn't detract from the intensity or validity of their feelings now. I just think we need to get over this 'one true love' idea. It puts such unnecessary expectations on people's relationships. So instead of enjoying the love you have, you look for that unicorn... -

Yes, I'm usually all for freedom of choice, but when it endangers others it's more tricky. School isn't the only place kids interact. And adults can be in danger too. I actually had to explain herd immunity to a fairly intelligent person not long ago. How can people not know this?!? Sorry for ranting. But I did point out this makes me mad...- 13 comments

We have pockets of the same stupidity here. Now, there are measles outbreaks. If some child would happen to be seriously injured, I wonder what they'll say then? Although, week old babies have died from hooping cough without headlines pointing fingers, though that can also be from the vaccine not being as effective. Still, anti-vaxxers aren't helping.- 13 comments

Taking it a little slow. The longer pieces need a little more time to be enjoyed properly, but I'm getting there. One at a time. -
Wow, Val, just wow! This story was amazing! The flow of the text was simply excellent. It's a good lesson to take in about how we all can make mistakes, some bigger than others, but most of us (all?) deserve a second chance. Also, a reminder that people leaving prison cna never hope to stay out of there if the rest of us don't let them back in. Provided they want to stay out. Thanks for this story!

Great way to leave us all waiting for more in utter agony! Speaking of coffee, I can say that drinking overnight coffee would practically be a deadly sin in Sweden. We don't like it after one hour... Also, in the past some drank coffee with salt (a few grains reduces the bitterness). Some drink it with a sort of cheese. Others way up north even put dried reindeer meat in it... -
Whatever happens now, Liam will at least know he gave it a shot. He's right to be apprehensive. The familiarity of Alek will make it all too easy to fall back into a relationship. Better make sure things are resolved and forgiven. Festering resentment is a killer...
