I find the thought of words being your armour very interesting. At first I thought it wasn't how I viewed you and your writing, since you are often so open and honest about yourself. But then I got the idea that by being so very honest, you release some of the emotions that could in fact hurt you unless you an examine them and then hopefully dispose of them little by little. So yes, it is a kind of armour. Only you wear it sort of inside out.

Prompt 496 Why are you looking at me that way?
Puppilull commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Prompt 496 Why are you looking at me that way?
Who wouldn't have a crush on Nelson? LOL Seriously, I think it was the right thing. Not due to any jealousy issues, but to let Nwl know can make things easier for Trevor. Nel can be considerate in a way an oblivious person can't. Trevor seems like a nice guy and doesn't deserve to be hurt unnecessarily. Now I'm curious about those plans... -
Interesting how a chance meeting all those years ago left such an impression. Or has something happened that we're not aware of? Did Prime 'discourage' Chris from any further contact? A pretty strong reaction.

I really feel worried about Curtis. He should count himself lucky that Casey came to live with them. Casey is such a good brother, so I guess his mother must have done something right raising him. What will Curtis reveal? Is he and Pip really together? Or does he want to be but is afraid?

I actually have an idea for 497. I just hope I have the time to write it. And that it's any good once out of my head.

So much happening here. First kiss, being able to be honest with Mrs Oliver, standing up to Darryl, planning for that dreadful meeting... It's very interesting to see Bobby grow like this. I'm glad he felt OK with telling Colton to slow down. He should listen to himself, now that he's finally broken free.

So Dante is the first (?) criminal of this little band to step away from crime? Will he and Viktor now be able to convince the rest to follow? They must have touched his soul deeply to change his outlook so completely. I guess love does that. All kinds of love. I was surprised at Nicola letting Dante go without any kind of fight. I would expect a mafia boss to be more determined to keep that kind of talent in the family, so to speak. Maybe he's biding his time, playing it smart? Or they operate in a different way than the Sopranos... Very nice of him to give Viko and Nobu some alone time. They deserved that.

Oh wow! What a discovery! I think if I turned into a wolf and back again, I'd be a messed up wreck for days... Kellar is already prepared to meet the world. But then again his life has taught him nothing is certain or to be taken for granted. Just what will he do with his foster brother...?

Those passing encounters... Some leave memories and I think Roman will remember Christian and Steven. And weren't there two toys...? One in the box, one in that ribbon...? Or am I just letting my mind run away with me?

What could have happened!?! He wouldn't leave like that on his own. But would someone take him? Has Ethan snapped...? No, he seems far too nice to do a thing like that. Quite the mystery! And what is Roger's strange hold over Josh? It's so weird how he keeps up that dead end relationship.

What is your favorite story on GA, and who is your favorite Author.

You listed Thaw! That makes me so happy! Thank you! *hug* -
Guy no 2 is Tom Mitchell, rugby player. Sooo cute!

That's so planned it's mean... But who's the other guy...? EDIT: Never mind, I foud him... LOL

Oh, did he or didn't he? I agree with Val, the answer doesn't really matter. He walked out and felt at peace, being able to stand the sun (be it from newfound insight or darker skin). Personally, I think he took the shaman's advice and didn't drink. He had already changed enough during his journey and could finally realize he was a Nahu despite his appearance being different. Belonging is more than skin deep. Even if some might call him sunchild again, I guess he'll take it with more of a sense of humor now. He has found his home and himself.

Hmm... Could Curtis be gay? I didn't think so before, but I guess Karen knows him better. Even if Mike had it easy (which he apparently doesn't, sadly enough) that wouldn't mean Curtis would have the same experience. He seems to have a lot of issues with himself, which could explain why he doesn't feel comfortable to come out. Perhaps, the incident after the movie could give Casey an opening to talk to him? Or he decides to try and beat Casey up...?

I guess Jason discovered he needs to be honest, not just with himself but with his partner if a relationship is supposed to grow. Luc didn't know or at least had no reason to question their casual relationship, since Jason didn't say anything. Tough way to learn, though. Meeting his old friends will possibly be tense, but I hope they realize it all happened a long time ago and people change. Very few go through life without hurting someone and it's a lesson in that. Don't be too judgmental. That said, you should be careful who you truly trust. So if Corey and Pierre are smart and mature, they'll stick to polite conversation and leave the past just where it's supposed to be, in the past. But then again, when are we ever smart and mature when it comes to matters of the heart...?

This might belong in here as well... New logo for the Swedish Liberal Party. I'm not kidding. Not really phallic but funny. The fail above is only surpassed by this Swedish municipal owned company who thought it was a good idea to have this as a Christmas greeting a few years back. I practically choked on my cofee, seeing this in the paper...

So the guys are out. I guess it was only a matter of time. Nice to see their friends being ok with it. And they seem a little closer to the L word, even if I stand by my view that it's fine to wait. As long as there is trust, they don't need the label. I wished the chapter hadn't ended right there... I loved Baker's little rant... LOL He was so upset he wasn't crushed on. In the strange coincidence that is the Metafluence on things, that whole shipping thing turned up here too. I had never heard the word until two days ago... Weird!

O. Henry Short Story Prompt 2 - The Last Leaf
Puppilull commented on Defiance19's story chapter in O. Henry Short Story Prompt 2 - The Last Leaf
Very sweet and romantic how the old man would go to such lengths to ensure that leaf didn't fall. Maybe being part of their little circle and seeing their love gave him joy enough to endure the cold? -
O. Henry short story prompt 1: The Green Door
Puppilull commented on Refugium's story chapter in O. Henry short story prompt 1: The Green Door
I really enjoyed this story. It's perhaps sad to see things didn't magically turn out amazing all at once for Rudolf, but it's still heartwarming to see he's got out of his lonely existence and no have a few friends and somewhere to belong. Maybe the boyfriend will come along, maybe he won't. At least he has someone in his life. I like that realistic take on a story. No fairytale or whirlwind romance. Just life. -
Great to see Casey and his dad be able to talk without one of them storming out in a huff... I loved the little line about Lane worrying Casey wouldn't like him if he was different. That was very sweet. And Joshua seems like evil incarnate... LOL

I have enjoyed your series a lot, especially the quirky humor inside Richard's head and I hope you've got that from my reviews. I felt the last chapter might have benefitted from being divided into two separate chapters, as it felt a bit rushed as you tied everythin up. I tend to do the same thing and am still learning to not just wrap it up (unless to stay safe LOL). For instance, the scene with the committe could use a little work and not simply be transcribed dialogue. It got a bit choppy and broke the rhythm of the story for me at least. That said, I look forward to read what you share with us next time!

Good to see the two brothers finally talking about what’s really been bothering their relationship. Sad though that Vladi shows so much love for their father, even though they parted on very bad terms. The boys both love their father very much, despite his ways and views. That makes things so difficult. With the four of them meeting and getting to know each other, they now have a little band of their own and with Dante their gang increases in strength. I’m holding my fingers crossed for Alexi. Very cryptic clues he gave. I started to wonder how much Russian Masahiro speaks, but he wouldn’t make a stupid mistake like that. In my research, I did however find a rather amusing if offensive meaning of Daisuke in Russian…

So Ash and Kye finally talked it out, at least eliminating some of the misunderstandings. Now, they just have ot make it through the night and they can actually get somewhere...
