    A Man's Job

Miami for POTUS! I would work that campaign, if by that time I wasn't past senior citizen status.... We all seem to be on the same page, advancing CJ toward a career in politics. That kid is smooth. He is surrounded too, by excellent role models. Whatever he decides his future is, we will definitely know who CJ is! I hate to think how different his life would have been, had he not been forced to go live with his dad's. Really nice chapter Carlos, and informative too.
  2. That was disturbing, but so good. What the heck is Jason!? Don't know if I can resist wanting to know more!
  3. I liked this chapter. It gave us some more insight into Danny, and I can't imagine how he's dealing. Sam's personality we see a little of, and it put Twoey and David in a room together...alone! It was great to see them really get along ad talk. If they continue like this it's going to be hard not to root for them sooner! As it is l like how we're getting to know them. Tommy might be, no, is way more insightful than his brother. I wonder how long he's had that inkling about David. It makes sense though, since they're so close that he sees what David can't just yet.. As for the date, I think David is stuck too, but that's because he's a genuinely nice guy. He doesn't want to hurt Kathy any more but clearly the longer he puts it off the harder it gets. Add to that it's his sister's boyfriend's sister. That's messy. Over the phone is not the way to go. I kind of want to see how he works this out, but I'm biased I like David, his cluelessness is what makes him endearing.

    Chapter 4

So sweet. I hope this is one of those relationships where everything just fits. Not without it's trials, but where the couple comes together so seamlessly, we're rooting for them. It feels like they've been together longer, and it's just another morning routine. Now we have another dinner date to look forward to. Spiders not invited.
  5. Every time, each one is better. The movie was gripping, and that scene was just so moving. You interpreted the scene wonderfully.
  6. Wow, Gary. That was incredibly affecting. Your words capture the very essence of what was unsaid in that scene... Loved it.

    Chapter 13

Arrgh! Never considered that Bryan wouldn't immediately connect to what Eddie was saying, given Eddie's simplicity. So frustrating! But good. I hope in reflection, or telling Sarah, he questions what Eddie said. And how obvious is MD being, trying to push Bryan on Sarah. She will give away her own game. Nice way to leave us twisting....

    Chapter 57

Thank you for giving us the win!!!! It was tense and nerve wracking but soo worth it! I won't repeat the highlights, but I must mention Charlie, Jim, Ty! 'Ollie, Ollie, Ollie!' I can't wait until Ty knows what we know! He deserves such good things. Neil- I really hope they drop the Four Dork now, or well, he's moving so maybe it won't matter! Peter is a winning coach! Thank you you for creating this family of football players whom we came to know as friends. For sharing their lives, and telling their story. We loved them, shared their pain, celebrated their highs, suffered their lows and everything in between. We invested in their happiness and now look forward to seeing what their future holds. There is so much to look forward to. I'm in for the ride. Go Lillydale Leopards! Thank you for a fantastic story Graeme! (I'm going to miss this on Saturdays)
  9. Matty Too! Lol. CG's comments mirrored my thoughts there, and with Danny's home life. May I suggest, for all his complaining, that David grudgingly give Tommy's mother a gift certificate to a cooking class. Between home and now school the poor kid may wither away. When the penny finally drops for David, I'm almost going to feel sorry for him. He is leading himself so far away from what's actually going on, I want to wake him up. Just not yet! Did Twoey miss the part where Erik wants to introduce him to other guys? I really hope I'm misinterpreting that exchange. I'm not totally okay with Erik, and though things went slow, I'm thinking he's biding his time. Twoey's is onto Blondie? I like it, but somehow I thought af first she didn't approve. Another good chapter...

    Chapter 12

This was heart wrenching to read. Poor Eddie being manipulated like that. He himself being the subject of MD's evilness and abuse. Time out my a**. I wonder now if MD gave dad a permanent time out. Did she think he was to easy on Eddie and got caught in her web tying to protect his kids. Aand! The bitch sent him to a home and not to the brother who was willing to care for and obviously loves him. I'm growing horns I'm so mad! I really really hope Bryan sees Eddie, so Eddie can relay Wyatt's message of love. Wyatt in the meantime needs to hold on and fight! He can't give up! Really good chapter CM!

    Prompt 442

Well, then... I'd say you hit the sexy bullseye! This was a fantastic continuation. I really enjoyed it. I'm excited to see what's coming for these two!
  12. It's a boy! I thought this to be a wonderful chapter. We caught a glimpse of Michael and Kendall's past personal conflicts on their journey to now. Kendall realised that he needed to be true to himself, and Michael, even though he didn't see it, subconsciously, and just like he said, it was always going to be Kendall. I mean, it's a big deal when you blow off a date with a girl for a one on one celebratory dinner with your buddy, when your team wins! This dinner was a beautiful way to celebrate their engagement. The upside of Candy's insistence on freezing Michael, is that Kendall gets to play a roll in the life he already thinks of as his. I don't like how Candy is, but I can understand her explanation. I'm hoping by the time the baby is ready to make an appearance, she would have softened some, and allow Michael in the delivery room too. So thoughtful of Kendall to get the sonogram on video for him and Michael to share. Seeing that life on screen is one of the most awe inspiring moments for a parent. You captured those feelings just right. Well done again Gary.
  13. I like the way Chris' views inject balance into the story. He states his opinion, encouraging thought, by simply questioning. Kind of feel that it's not always going to be that easy for him though. I'm slightly disappointed in Luke. When he said he wanted to talk to Gary, I thought he would make him comfortable, allowing Gary to see that he was an ally and a friend. We don't need an even more skittish Gary. We'll see how they move on from there. Jason: We may just be scratching the surface with him. It was a very honest letter he wrote. It showed a willingness to be open and understanding views other than his own. I want him to succeed at finding himself no matter the church's teachings. Great chapter.
  14. I've only read Andrew Todd's Riding Lessons, tore through mostly everything by Sasha, and I'm just ecstatic to have been on Headstall's amazing ride from chapter 1. From COTT to his poetry, his work is deeply evocative. Great answers from three talented authors.
  15. Felt like I was hanging out on the PP myself, or at least I really wanted to be. Such is the atmosphere you've created with these guys. Good guys, easy banter, all great stuff! I also really like the direction of CJ's friendships. I'm glad that Thiago was able to get some clarity about his brother. He definitely climbed up ahead in Autumn's book. I'm not keeping count yet, but with Harley, Thiago, the inclusion of Patrick, Bradley and soon JP's nephew, CJ is building his own rat pack! Liked this chapter, more please....
  16. I concur.. The new show could be okay, good even, but it could never compare.
  17. I wonder, before all of the story is told, how many 'plans' David would have put into motion. Lol. Love that he thinks wrestling is why Erik is suddenly hanging around. It's hard not to let your hormones lead when you have someone like Erik who is willing and eager to show you things you only dreamed of and think you're ready for. I think Erik will break Twoey, I hope it doesn't come to that. Danny, hmm.. I'm with CG here too. It doesn't feel good to me. Great chapter SkinnyD, but please take care of our guys..
  18. That short video, showed how Nathan came to feel about Josh. That had to be hard to watch. The loss of Josh's friendship could have been what finally broke Nathan, but he had other problems and who knows if it would have always ended this way. My heart breaks for Josh though. Thank you for telling this story. I didn't think it was a downer at all. Sad, yes, but it's also all too real a tale. Well done!
  19. NYC is everything you describe...and more! The sights, the food, the atmosphere. You even learn to appreciate the smell of the garbage in the summer, lol. The city energizes you, your whole being comes alive. Because of that, I'm glad I live in the suburbs. 45 mins by train, any time I feel like it, and I feel like it often. Then, I get to go home and come down off that City high. The traffic though, I get! Horrible.. I wish you the best, I hope you get to be a part of it.. ;-)

    Chapter 3

Sometimes, the simplest things yield the biggest rewards. That was such a cozy dinner. I love the easiness between Dave and Reece. Dave seems confident and uncomplicated, which in turn makes Reece comfortable. Reece may worry, but I doubt that Dave will have any negative opinion about his meager living situation. Forget finishing the movie though, they're actually going to have to talk about what this means for the two of them soon, if they manage to come up for air.
  21. Something in you shifts, doesn't it? And suddenly it's all wonderful and scary and real. Another good one...

    Chapter 11

Oh. My. Word. Did MD slip off her meds? This is extreme. Does she really think Brian will ever forgive her when he finds out. I agree with everyone that Eddie is the key to all of this. Brian needs to go see him stat. Maybe Eddie will be so proud of keeping Brian safe, he'll let something suspicious slip. In the meantime poor Wyatt has to endure this evil woman's lunacy.
  23. Change stinks. Worse even at this age, when you have no control. Robbie is lucky to have a supportive family, who looks to be truly invested in his well being. Daniel will be a good brother I think. It's hard to see now, all the things he's worried about being different, and missing, will soon eclipsed by the new experiences and adventures he's about to have. Looking forward to the Tom chapter.
  24. I kinda love David. He is infectious. He handled Burch perfectly I'd, say but I hope he doesn't get too far ahead of himself. We won't want that to come back and bite him. The double date has misadventure written all over it. Clearly, assuming all Kathy wants is to be friends, by now is obvious to all. I can't wait to see how he handles himself. Sweet how Twoey is loving being the subject of David's attention. Erik is okay knowing about Towey's interest in David. I'm guessing he's not concerned because David is straight, or he doesn't care about serious commitment. If it's the latter, then for Twoey I don't think it's a bad thing. Twoey gets to be a 'practicing gay' while he navigates through his feelings and figures out what he wants.

    Chapter 56

Mean, so mean.... I woke up earlier so I could read this before my run. That's how excited I was! Turns out, I can run the cliff hanger frustration away. Loved Peter's talk with the guys. I'm sure it will be what carries them when they go back on the field. II was a good chapter, I just wish Saturday weren't 7 days away!
