I love Kohen and this story. I've said it before, but you do an amazing job portraying his fears and anxiety. It makes me want to hug him and tell him things will be better. Maybe that will become the captain's job in time. Thanks for this really good story!

I didn't see the "twist" at the end. I am glad it ended well. The good news is he didn't eat the ring by mistake! It would be a hoot to hear this story repeated at their wedding. Nicely done!

I had to binge a few chapters to catch up. It is nice to be with Peter and Eric in part 2. Even the brutality towards Milo and Been was interesting but hard to read. I hope we get to read about more of their happiness after they escaped. Thanks for continuing this most interesting and enjoyable story.

A good ending, and several good moments in this chapter. I think I like Declan even more with his behavior in this chapter! And it looks like Bailey is staring to relax a bit with the other guys. It was clever the way his comments defused Eddie! Thanks.

This is another excellent CJ story from Carlos Hazday. The focus is on politics, specifically the campaign for Hillary Clinton. It feels like an insider's view of the campaign trail, which I enjoyed! As always, Carlos' characters are varied and interesting, his dialogue is realistic, and his place descriptions "put you there" but don't get in the way of the story. My only caution: if this is your first CJ story there is a lot that has come before this. You may miss a few references to other characters, but I don't think it will lessen your enjoyment. And I strongly recommend going back to the beginning. CJ's stories are all good reads!

Thanks for another enjoyable chapter in CJ's life. It was well written and informative, and interesting in spite of the fact we knew the ending. I'll be waiting impatiently for the next CJ story.

OK, was the end of this a bit of foreshadowing? I haven't read the other comments yet, but I'll bet others are speculating too. The first days of school were interesting and I'd say typical. How nice there are friends to go around and a good support group for our guys. I may wear out this line before this story is over: love these guys; love this story! Thanks.

Having finished this chapter, I am caught up again. I read with great interest the chapters on gay persecution. They were sometimes hard to read, and I must confess I am glad to be back to the "regular" story. I do hope we will hear more about Milo and Bren. Thank you.

Thank you for mentioning the Cubs' World Series win. Sadly my friend, Chuck, didn't live to see his beloved Cubbies win. He missed it by a year. Reading your words brought back some good memories and made for watery eyes. Thanks for sharing your writing. And on a lighter note, where did you dig up Earl Pullman? LMAO!

Hey Carlos, I just wanted to say thank you , once again, for these characters and your stories. I have read most of the comments for this chapter with interest. I think you could write about CJ taking out the garbage and I would read it and enjoy it. Take this story where ever you want, and I'll still be there reading.

Part of me is feeling bad for Oscar. Part of me is feeling like he got what he deserved. I do feel sad for Mr. Price. In many ways Oscar would be good for him. I wonder if he met Oscar with out the subterfuge if they could have a relationship. You really capture the pain they are both feeling.
