A wonderful chapter that was Rita free -- that's the best part! I swear that woman makes me want to slap the lipstick off her face!! Now we get to experience Senior!! I believe Jerry and Cheryl will play a significant role in helping develop the relationship between Rick and Gus. I believe Cheryl already sees it beginning! Great stuff Parker - thank you, David

I don't know what else to add to the above comments except - it was a wonderful read! Thoroughly enjoyed the surprise visit of CJ and Oz and especially the nonchalant reaction from Jared! Maybe Rick is not so alone in Eagle Lake!! Now Rita (the steamroller) is a different story?? I do NOT trust that woman! Thanks Parker, great stuff. David

What a wonderful story. I am sure it resonates truths in many families where siblings are faced with accepting different sexualities within their family. It's true in my family - my sister and I are very close - my brother hardly speaks to me!! Thank you wildone I thoroughly enjoyed reading "Bridges-to-Friendship". Five Stars!!!!!

Obviously they both made some terrible choices but, what bothers me the most, is how the collateral damage will affect little Tristin! He just got Santa to grant his unselfish wish for his Dad! Now what!!

Jake definitely know something about Liam's father but is being very quiet !! Not necessarily a good sign! Hopefully Dylan will learn more soon.

Emotions were raw in this chapter from both Liam and Dylan! Dylan may have brought Liam to a new level of realism to sincerely feel remorse!!! Hopefully he isn't to drunk so as to not remember all this tomorrow! Excellent story and well written! Thank you!

Yes, I agree with CincyKris, rejection is a very sour pill that often leaves a lasting bad taste causing one to build a wall of protection for self preservation! It will take Coy many more concrete steps and admissions to allow Boone to lower his shield - BUT - I am hopeful! Always the romantic - so shoot me! Great chapter Gary! Thank you, David.

OMG GARY! This story continues to get better with each chapter! The real and raw emotions from Coy were incredible! It brings understanding to his previous actions. His bother and mother were weights he has been carrying around and just could not let loose to his real feelings. I not going to guess what will happen once Larkspur is in sight BUT I'm hopeful that the cozying-up will continue and move to the next level. A wonderful story that has my total attention! Your dialect has captured the essence of the era perfectly! My favorite this chapter: "in a coon’s age"! Take care my friend, David

Two Families/Two Hunters

I can relate to Hunter's home life to some extent. My Dad was very standoff-ish and incapable of showing affection! My Mom was good to me but still had to walk a fine line when Dad was around. When my "Gay" revelation came out he could not even look at me! Hunter will need to surround himself with caring people like the Vega family and not worry about what "could have been" but what is NOW!! Great story as usual Geoff and I'm trying to brace myself for the next emotional avalanche. Cheers and stay safe my friend! David -
It was a great read - a difficult chapter to put together and adequately show the hurt. loss of family, the estate settlement, etc, etc but you did well. We can all take a deep breath and move on. I just love the little man-child Sam !!
