Another excellent chapter.

Thank you very much, @Butcher56, for reading and commenting on the story. This chapter was hard for me to write, because of the pain that Jeremy felt. In my style of writing, I try to put myself in my characters' shoes and then write how I think and feel, they would feel. On the adoptions, Adam and Duncan's parenting style is to treat Rob and Jer more as equals given their ages. While they did discover all the laws, regulations, and such stuff, they still wanted to give the boys a choice instead of forcing the issue. I knew both boys would be Yes's, but Jeremy would be a chaotic mix of emotions. Some elements are being carried over to the next book for them. With the narrow scope that this book was, I decided to carry over the odd payments to the next book. Have to give the forensic accountant time to do research. The final 3 chapters are done, and currently with my editor Kitt.

Sleep Well. I'm on the insomniac patrol right now, and it's 3:00 am.

Thanks for reading, Buddy. I'm loving these characters, they go back over two previous stories. To get more info on Adam, Duncan, and Robert, the previous story My Son. Is all about them. Brayon and Chanon are from the first story called A New Life and A New Home. This story has three more chapters, just waiting for them to come back from the editor. I've actually decided to put on hold two projects, so I can go ahead and do the next book.

The final three chapters are done and with my editing team, plotting for book four is almost done, and revamping book 5's chapter 1, and reorganizing my notes for it. For the adoptions, they are mainly doing it because they love both kids, Adam and Jer are just getting to know each other, but he loves him nevertheless. However, during the week Adam and Duncan were discussing it, they found out all the legal barriers Step-Parents, and Legal Guardians face. Both in Florida and Nationally. So that was another factor in it.

Thanks, Glennish, for reading and for comment. At this point in Jeremy's story, no he doesn't know about the divorce. That will be explained in the next chapter. Chapter 3 is around 7000 words too and was the planned end of Jeremy's story. The BONUS Chapters 4, 5, are focused on Travis, who's introduced in Chapter 3. Chapter 4 is over 6000 words, and Chapter 5 was almost 9000 words. Here's something that got cut out of the first chapter, and I couldn't find a way to add it back in: The final version of this is what made it into the story.

Duncan already spoiled Jeremy before he came to live with him. That Nikon Camera he bought him (first chapter) is over $6000.00. Yeah, it was. Having had to do that when my father died, I channeled what I felt into Jeremy. Just made it double. I will say, Jeremy now has a fear of flying.

There is a Status tag that the Admin can use that reads "Author Deceased" I've seen it on a couple of stories. The Admin needs to know this in order to flip it on their unfinished stories. Sending a PM to any of the Orange Staff members should help with that.

I've always been a fan of the rail-cannon. The USNavy has a fully functional system in sea trials. That can be adapted to space, as it's reactionless, and uses magnets to launch solid metal chunks. It would have the velocity that the ship was moving at, plus the additional speed from the launch cannon. It's also a staple of the SciFi genre.

I just logged on, after doing some classwork, and the first thing I saw was a notification that Myr posted a new story. This short scene is excellently written and had great visuals. Had to fill in some of the details, myself, but I could practically see and feel Valin's fear as he ran following the lights. Left me wanting more!

A very sad chapter, but one that needed to be in the story. Having been told some of the backstory in this, my heart goes out to them. Thank you.

tim, my friend. When you first posted about your walk in the DiC, I was mesmerized by it. Adding in the poems, turning it into a Haibun, all I can say is wow. Purely magnificent.
