    Great start Jay! They are adults who can choose how to proceed. There was no way to know. I would think scenarios like this are more common than we think. Families separate, adoption, etc. Look forward to more. Good to see you posting! ❤️ Last paragraph you have (but evidentially). I think you meant evidently.

    Words hold great weight. Our main instrument to communicate. The most powerful things in life. They symbolize just about everything. From feelings, acceptance, rejection. You did a beautiful job molly. Very thought provoking. Often words are taken for granted.

    It looks like the brothers will be enemies before this is over. I do feel Paul is gay. Being friends with Devon should worry him. Devon doesn’t just have a distaste for gay people. He is showing classic signs of aggression. Ashley and Devon are one fugly couple. Poster couple for bigots!

    Happy to see Cid making progress. The dean seemed understanding. He was gentle, and not accusatory, or dismissive. I don’t think we’ve seen the last of Kurt. Cid will help Billy. Letting him know his past will free Billy. Allow him to see it wasn’t anything he did.

    Who knows where they were. They are very inconsistent parents. No where did Ryder, or Teddy say we’ll handle Oliver.

    You conveyed it perfectly. It was this chapter we see major parallels between Oliver and Ryder. It all boiled down to a single word *cursed*. Ryder knows the power and destruction that word holds.

    Teddy was the brother he is supposed to be. He and Ryder work well as a team. Oliver seems a little naive. I fear that happened from lack of attention. If Oliver was my child, you could bet I’d make myself known with principal. Twice now we’ve seen them fail Oliver.

    Hey Myr, there’s a setting I’ve always been curious about. Play audio sound has never worked for me. Does it work? Does this not work on phone, or tablet? Could it be screen reader related? Not a big deal. I’m just curious.

    Dugh, it was a lot like A to Z. First quarter I kept putting it down. It was just so hard to read. I promise there’s a moment where it gets easier.

    Great chapter HB. These two frustrated the hell out of me in this one though. Ryan is right to say Eric has to choose, but your man wants you to ask with conviction. Let him hear what life could be. Eric needs to get out of his head. Take the plunge. NYC already isn’t home. Home is where your heart is. The fact that Ryan is the only one he speaks to, staying home... that speaks volumes.

    I feel for Cameron. His past is enough to bare. Then you have the fear of a new school. I hope Kevin and Cameron can help each other through the high school angst. Devon, Paul and Ashley are just charming... not! Ashley, a piece of advice... Being a girl who wants to put out doesn’t put you any higher on the cool list, over the gay kid.

    Just like A to Z, not always easy to read. This story puts you through the ringer of emotions. Parker is a masterful storyteller and character builder. He peels away the layers of characters, allowing you to empathize with the worst of a person. Redemption is the main theme of this well written story.

    Teddy can be really annoying sometimes. He dismisses his brother, not realizing the damage he is doing. Oliver is hurt. Ryder pegged him being anxious. He shows some of my own symptoms. I applaud Ryder giving Oliver his moment. He gave him street cred. Hopefully an easier time at school. Ryder is cementing his place in Oliver’s heart. The age Oliver is at is confusing... Boy, girl, fluid... it doesn’t matter. That age is hard to decipher if feelings, or hormones.

    Great chapter. I’m glad they both shared their stories. They understand each other. Two wounded souls that can heal one another.
