    Chapter 1

Wow! I really, really liked this one, and like Chris, I'm almost certain I know who wrote it. I've got guesses for 5 and I'm 90% on 4 of those.... That said, this was a really, really good read. A story of redemption, and forgiveness. Well timed, Secret Author, and very well written. Thanks for sharing!!

    Chapter 1

Touching, moving and very sweet. It's a very well written tale, and it made me happy early on a rainy Monday morning!!
  3. This was an interesting read, and I definitely want to know more about the main victim's recovery and rehab. I'd also have liked a more in depth look at the perpetrator's illness, but overall, it was a pretty good tale. Thank you for sharing!!

    Chapter 1

While this is not my usual fare, I have to say, it was very well written, and a very moving story. I'm impressed, and that can be hard to do!

    Chapter 1

I left home at 14, with literally what I could fit in the trunk of my car. It was hard, and it only got harder. Never did meet a Trace, but I got myself emancipated, went to work and never looked back. My mother and I speak now, but rarely, and there is no parental relationship. A lot of life is just pure bullshit, but there's a lot of good to be found out there as well!!

    Chapter 1

I'm blown away. Excellent take on addiction and mental illness, very gritty, and real. Kinda sad, very hopeful, and knowingly or not, highly accurate.

    Chapter 1

When my grandmother was suffering from Alzheimer's (and having been a teacher, and one of the brightest, sharpest women I have ever known, she DID suffer), we kept her home for almost ten years. But as she got closer to the end, if you weren't wearing scrubs, she screamed for help when you walked in her room. She didn't know anyone. It was heartbreaking. This story is an honest look at the good days and the bad days, and was very touching and very personal. Thank you.
  8. For a man I never met in person, I'm just shocked, and saddened, and completely unprepared for this moment. Carlos was a great friend, who helped me a great deal through a very trying time. I'm grateful to have known him, and I miss him already.
  9. I cannot wait to see what changes have been made here!! I absolutely LOVED this story when I first read it, and I'm super excited to see it here again!
  10. Ack!! I may die. I can't wait to see this!!
  11. Wow, I was just going through and looking at some of these suggestions, and it's kinda funny, knowing what we know now, and kinda sad that some of our favorites didn't make it. I think the most fitting end to the series I can think of would be the reading of JP's will. It started with a secret hidden in his grandfather's will, and what an appropriate finish. Of course, I wouldn't dream of thinking I was near qualifed to actually suggest something to Mark, but I think it would complete the circle, so to speak.

A fitting end, and a great teaser for the next one!!

    Day Drinking

Carlos, It's hard to believe that it's been 8 years since these stories began. It's been a wonderful journey, both CJ's life and adventures, as well as the limited conversations I've had with you. I wish you many happy returns my friend. Happy birthday!
  14. I'm late to this party, but I absolutely loved this story!!!
  15. I laughed so hard at the last 2 chapters that my boss asked if I was stoned! When I told her what I was reading, she demanded a link to the site! Thank you, both of you, once again, for sharing your talent!!
  16. My guilty pleasure was one life to live...got hooked whole in the hospital after knee surgery.
  17. You guys have really made this a lot of fun!! I'm generally a fan of collaborative works anyway, as you get the distinctly different styles, perspectives and we get to see characters interact that normally would not. Thanks again, youz guyz!
  18. These are fast becoming a highlight of my week - I need a little laughter in my life by Tuesday!!
  19. These are too much fun! I love the theme here - great work!

    Chapter 1

I've just read this again, as part of my quest to re-read all of the anthologies while I wait to see what the topic will be for this year. I have to say, I was right the first time. This is the best, absolute best, story I have read in a long time. And I read a lot. Like several hours a day, a lot. I am completely amazed at the depth of your characters, at the gritty, and sometimes ugly, reality in which they find themselves, and with their ability to deal with life as it is, not how it could, would or should be. I am in awe of your talent, honored by your friendship, and grateful that you share your worlds with us. Happy 2023, Dudette! JK
  21. I'm always up for more of CJ and Owen! I've been with them from the beginning, lol and can't wait for more!
  22. I love it - very intense!!
  23. Well, i am, after all, a funny motherfucker. Just saying....
  24. I fucking loved it!!! Completely ace!
  25. I will be checking out the ones I am not already familiar with as soon as I get home!!
