Thank you so much, Parker! 😊 I really appreciate it.
  2. Restless midday storm, erase this house I built on sand, force me out to turn and face the bottle held in weathered hands, the sickness I embrace. Burst through these rotten planks impaled by twisted spikes gone red with rust! Streak of jagged light, exhale, slash straight through ten years of dust, pry out each crooked nail. I lift my chin and silently demand the storm to lash my face, break me open savagely, smash to dust my fallen grace and shattered, I'll po
  3. This is a collection of my poetry. Subjects are frequently turbulent and volatile in nature, but will also include more reflective pieces on nature, the universe, and life in general.
  4. That is a massive collection of CDs. This list must have taken you a while to compose. I like your taste in music. Brings me back to the 90s / early 2000s. I’d probably have a very similar collection if I bought CDs back in the day. Instead I borrowed blanks from my friends and burned mix CDs off of Napster 😂 Those were the days.
  5. A new chapter! I was so eager to learn more about Seamus and now my wish came true! Thank you for feeding the addiction Seamus’s past with Kelly was heartbreaking. He was so young and naive, thinking he could marry someone who was actively cheating on him and hoping it would change Kelly’s bad behavior . Good thing Kelly didn’t back down on the condoms thing. Seamus definitely didn’t need to add STDs to his list of woes. So... Kelly has more money than he knows what to do with. Then he has a heart attack at such a young age with no medical explanation. This screams cocaine to me. Piles of it. And finally, we are left with a new hook. A financial mystery for Matt to unravel should be entertaining! As always, very much looking forward to more.

This chapter was excellent: the tense drive, Rick fighting against his own inner doubts (and winning!!), Marta’s timely interference, and the plumbing van sneaking itself in to play the role of a humble hero. And I thought the last chapter’s cliffhanger was going to make me keel over. My impatience is killing me!!! I’m on the same page as @84Mags. Next Thursday couldn’t come soon enough!

    Chapter 7

This has been such a fun adventure to read so far. You have an engaging style that plops me right into the wondrous world you created. Rationally I know you don’t need a name for the creature. But since I’m done reading for the night and you closed this chapter with the question... How about Frederick Lionel Chadwin III ? Or Bessie?

    Chapter 1

Just jumping into this story. I love the premise. Essell is so confident, probably much too confident for all his lack of experience. Can’t wait to continue and see where you steer this!
  9. When I read this entry, I really wanted this word to have an n. Restauranteur. So I looked it up, and apparently there is some history there. It’s not interesting at all but at least I feel justified. Grammarist article

Ugh I can’t wait. What are the chances you will post the next chapter early? (And will they change if I give you all my $?) lol
  11. I didn’t really have a nickname either, but sometimes my mom called me “inside out and backwards” because that’s how I liked to wear my shirts when I was 4.

    Thank you! 🥰

    Chapter 10

Haha Ethan does behave like a grandpa sometimes, so it totally suits him. I’m really looking forward to introducing Sophie. Soon! Thanks always for reading and for the great comments!

    Chapter 10

Yes, I love your observations on Ethan. He really is resourceful. Opting to walk over taking the bus might be frugal but he will take self-reliance to the extreme sometimes. I also agree with you about the Gordon’s. I’m looking forward to writing about a healthy family dynamic for once 😰 Thanks so much for the reading and commenting!

    Chapter 10

Thank you! I agree with you about needing their own spaces, but we’ll see, it might take a crowbar to pry them apart lol And as for the demons, I’ll keep my mouth shut. 🤐
  16. Blue numbers on the TV stand glowed against my sandy, tired eyes. 5:15 AM. I yawned and put my arm over my eyes, observing with my ears instead. The television made a thin high pitched sound just barely in my range of hearing, even though it was off. The refrigerator whirred softly. Michael inhaled through his nose with a tiny snore at the end of each breath. Focusing on the sounds around me normally helped me drift off. Instead, they irritated me. Between the noise and the remnants of my

This imagery of being sewn together speaks to me so much. Absolutely beautiful poem.

    Chapter 10

Reader interview Q: Why did you binge this story on a Friday night a full year after it was published? A: It was absolutely fantastic as well as addicting. Also, Thanks for your recommendation @weinerdog Q: Was this story beautifully written, transporting you to NYC while revealing details of architecture you never knew existed? A: Why, yes. Q: How did you feel about the way the author portrayed the characters and their relationships? A: Endearing, sweet, and memorable. I will love the Grandpa forever. Okay I can only keep that up for so long lol. I absolutely loved this story. You will probably have to put up with my dorky comments for a while now, as I’ll be mining your story page for more gold. Thanks for the great read!!

    Week Two

Reading these is inspiring It really is awesome that you are able to complete a new poem each day. I hadn’t heard of national poetry writing month before I joined GA. I enjoyed all of them. But I connected most with #8, 9 and 11. We are actually dividing up things right now from my grandma’s house, so 11 hit particularly hard. Thanks again for sharing your heartfelt work.

    Risoluto

You built this chapter up incredibly well, with so many resolutions falling into place like puzzle pieces. But you withheld the last piece, the most dear one. And I’m left here jumping around wanting the next chapter like a crack addict lol Go save him, Rick. He needs you 😭

    Week 2

That was a nice twist in Day 11 😆 Day 10 also made me laugh (horrible horrible). And that first bite of a ripe strawberry definitely wipes winter away, doesn’t it? These were well done and great to read. Lovely work.
  24. Lucas falls into the deep end for a forbidden and unrequited love, and finds darkness from his past lurking there. This story was bleak, heart-wrenching, and beautifully written.

Oh thank goodness my suspicions were inaccurate. From the beginning of the story, I thought Lucas would be the cause of Pascual’s death. And I didn’t want an incident like that to ruin his life. Honestly I loved the darkness and rawness of this story. It was captivating and beautifully written. I felt so much for Lucas throughout. I hope his relationship with his dad can be healed, and in turn heal the pain lurking inside him. I will just have to imagine that’s the case Bravo, excellent work. 👏
