Ain not remembering his most important conversation with Fenn is disappointing. It is very good of him to call out the people on their prejudice against shadowforgers. Fenn is a good guy. Just didn’t want the attention like Ain likes. Knowing he was blackmailed into being a General, is that still something the Herald uses to manipulate him?

Excellent work, Elian being totally honest, may have broken through. Damian must have been lurking and following, to have rescued Elian from getting caught outside his designated area.

The dinner with the 4 boys was surreal. The evidence that Tarquin had planted, then came to the jail to gloat about was just plain vile. Hopefully the security cameras caught it, and the attorney can get him out. Poor Orel’s devastation was miserable to see. An how did Tarquin have video of Orel if he was with Garrett?

Who gave Graves the intel to track them down? Russians? That could be a big problem for a US security officer…

Interesting first days on base, meeting new friends and getting on the baseball team. Several interesting prospects for future fun…

Finally Ain shared his burden with Fenn, and told him how he felt about him, even drunk, it was the truth. Fenn was right, the same thing Ain had told him about using his powers and hurting the cat, it was an accident, and did save many others from being killed.

Interesting decision. Did Nathaniel innately know something? That this turning would be bad for Antonio? Or was he just so angry for being lied to that he made a really bad decision?

Oh, the clone of Q, Marco was interesting. The ending with the shadow was interesting.. great cliffhanger. Did it transport him to another dimension? “We are you, you are of Us” is this another god?

Why would Donovan assume any rules in a street fight, not very bright. Hopefully he learned a lesson, but probably not. -
That the thing about assuming, you get it wrong, the security guy just wanted to get to know him better. And it took a crow’s intervention to make it happen. Lovely short story.

Jack and Vince could see the witch, or whatever it is, but Theo could not. Maybe that was how it had trapped the pack. Hopefully now that the trio are back together in this real they can find the pack and get them back.

It seems that they mat a long time ago, but Elian has little memory of it. It’s like he has hints of memories, but not full recollection, like he was made to forget. Persistent that he is. It seems like he should be honest about his reason for agreeing to the engagement.

There is one relationship growing, another diminishing. It doesn’t mention where Rick’s parents new home is, but it’s not close to where Liam is, it seems. -
We get further insight into the trauma that Finn faced being on the street needing to survive. And the fact that Orel didn’t care about that past. Just that he was with him in the present. Orel dressed for his role in the sausage delivery protocol, hopefully the staff at the restaurant are kind. Tabby shared some sage advice. Live for yourself, not other’s expectations of you. And things need to follow a lifecycle. And it can smell bad in the degenerative part. Oliver really needed that from a friend, which Ollie seems to have few of.

Sean and Gabriel meet. Gabriel blows up his former office. Scott’s loyalty is built on knowing that they have been eradicating bad people. Maybe go after Mahmet?

Hunter’s visit to the psychiatrist was a good thing, he needed to unburden himself of the thoughts and in a safe place. Miguel really seems like a nice guy, at least in this setting. He believes his father has a legitimate business, just surrounded by others who do not. So that could be why Hunter’s father wants the connection. Hopefully it will not harm the boy’s relationship. The small farm is a great getaway. -
Beautiful holiday trip, the ending of this book is a good place. Knowing that there is another one on the way. The news about the uncle’s plea bargain was not great news, but he’ll be in jail for a long enough time for the boys to grow more.

The way you used stumm it was easily imply the meaning, thanks @drsawzallfor the dictionary link. I always learn new things in @Robert Hugill stories. This was a nice chapter of friends sharing their lives. Introduced Ian to Australia rules, and why the guys liked this better😉 Ian comes out in a safe environment.

Seems like Oliver has been relegated to frenemy by Lydia, and she feels sorry for him being sucked back into Tarquin’s control. Loved that Garret felt he needed to be sure Orel was not going to hurt Finn.

It took wandering through the secret passages to get to the room the was Damian’s, but how long had he been away? And would the servants find his room empty? He had clearly disobeyed orders to stay to his designated area…

It’s interesting that up to this point the name and gender of the offspring had not been mentioned. Hopefully this is not an impediment for either of them.

Ain needs to be honest about getting tired using his powers for making them all invisible for so long. Fenn was able to do his job defending Ain, but was upset that Ain was trying to protect him. Wonder if Fenn has a power that he could use to make the, both shadows? If they hold hands, maybe?
