It seems I’m going to be a dissenting voice about chapter length. One of the things I have loved about your writing, is that you just write until the chapter is done, no matter the length. Granted some chapters are longer than other authors entire stories. The quality of your writing is amazing and I’ll read whatever is written. This story is starting off like so many people’s lives, others planning their life, expecting the child to continue on in the family business, never asking if they are even interested in it. And he knows he is different, so that adds even more pressure. Looking forward to college for him to be away from this toxic environment.

Devon doesn’t have to worry about his 3 brothers in this town. They are incompetent at robbery, have no weapons and seem not to know about money. He is so much better than them. I think they will come into town and be very surprised by what their brother has done for himself. Love Genevieve, that was a great bet. Hopefully Devon will follow through. The town is getting used to them.

Aled stood up to his brother and Harry stayed. Noah is a whirlwind, and very caring.

It took Josh’s prompting, but it looks like Frank really saw what he was like, being a jerk to everyone, especially Marc. And if he was going to have the opportunity for a good relationship. Needed to fix it quickly. Will see if it sticks.

Charlie specifically selected him because he was gay. That has to say something about his openness. This Karen is a frantic mess.

Was Shayna responsible for little man’s attack, just to try and get close to Jake, or just taking advantage of the bad situation? Hopefully he wakes up soon.

Loved the ending from Noah’s POV. Now they can live their lives. The punishment for Colt was very reasonable. This community seems really accepting too.

Very interesting chapter. It seems like there is a reason they met where they did. Something special about the place that may shield them of help them. The attraction was too strong, and it was not Mister D’s doing. Luka is not going to drain Devin. Looking forward to the next chapter.

The boys fought well, I thought the Bedouin reaction was harsh, if the boys had not been there they all would have likely been killed… Now they have horses, weapons and supplies to get to the River and disappear.

So the killer was a ghost? They moved quickly to get rid of the body. What happened to Kevin? At least nothing happened to Noah, but he may have some PTSD from the experience. The family rallied quickly. Never a dull moment in Noah’s life. -

Nico unconsciously went to his friend for help. Gwen and Logan really took care of him. I’m thinking Nico could find the stepdad in the underworld and ask what happened to him that broke him. Logan put the idea in his head to go see the sister he ghosted, she was glad to see him. There is a lot of tension between these guys. Is Logan gay or bi, he sure is comfortable teasing Nico. -

Austin, did great standing up to his brother. I’m thinking that Rob really likes his brother and this may have given him something to think about… the idea if Austin takin what his grandmother is offering seems like a good way to get away from his father’s abuse. He needs to tell Fletcher of his plan. Maybe he will want to join him. Especially after Austin tells him why he tripped. -
The friendship is growing. The ghost story was an interesting thing Hudson did to scare his brother.

Colt didn’t check on Noah before they left for the Cabin. So his whereabouts are in question for sure. Hopefully he is safe. Colt is a minor, but the lug nuts and the break line tampering are definitely issues he will have to face as he did them, no matter the motivation.
