This was an amazing way to end this first book. We have the knowledge that Caleb was the only survivor of a genetic experiment, that he is fully aware of. Has an ability to become a sleeper personality behind a fully fictitious alias, who is Jacob in this story. But they are communicating with each other now. The future will be interesting. Since he had attended MIT, but does not seem to have been socialized with similar aged peers, will he let himself test to the level that he can excel at, or deliberately test down to stay in a place with others his age? The family, including Greg have really embraced him as a son, brother, nephew, excluding the nasty grandmother….. I can see him using his talents for good, investing and becoming a multimillionaire in his own right quickly, then leading life on his own terms. There is a background threat of the Cerberus AI following everything he does and identifying him as a threat in the future, or possibly helping him…

Amazing chapter, loved the acceptance of Elias, and the confirmation by Kimo’s mother. The proposal at the end for a life commitment was brilliant.

Beautiful birthday chapter. Gavin and Lorraine both acknowledge his sexuality. Gavin knowing about Davin… Lorraine guessing about Roy. But we know Roy is straight… the interaction with Cody was honest, but way too short. They will be riding horses soon enough. Celia’s mother is a cuss word. I bet I know what Davin’s wish is….😊

Jasper talks with Blake and gets his feelings out there. He still doesn’t know what he wants…. Maybe the time apart will be good for both of them.

Torryn is very protective of his brother. Hopefully Yarlimar clarifies that he is much more than a sex toy to him. Lalianus is very intrigued by the aggressive Torryn.

The fact that Alexander has been serious about Lyn from the beginning is there in all of the flashbacks. Lyn just never saw it, an of course Alexander never wanted Brad to have a chance at what he wanted…. Unraveling all of this will be interesting. Will Lyn still want to be boyfriends? Will Brad calm down, he was striking out over what he lost out on, but it seems like he would not really have been good at a solid relationship back then anyhow, seems like a player on both sides male and female…. Will Bella still want a wedding? Or did Luke suddenly get feelings and tell his sister because he wants to be with Brad instead? So many questions…

I had an interesting thought after reading this chapter. Is any of this related to Kieran’s father wanting a different kind of son? Was Ben brought in to forge a man who could take over the family business??

Maybe the brother need to connect with the bad nurse boy, then all get caught with the illegal drugs. The beginning was good, the ending tragic. Hunting accident would be good. Shaun does not need murder on his hands, he has a family to live for.

Good on Jasper, even in his mental state for standing up for himself.. his drinking is a problem that he needs to address too. Ryan really messed up, he should have called the police….

The apologies were good. His mental health seems to be improving. Using gAI to assist with the learning in class seems to be a good thing. The VR training seems to be working. The Prof did not buy the more cum absorbed the better he got reason… that is part of it, but not all of it. He needs to be ready for this next trip into space… hopefully no more saboteurs….

@Topher Lydon this entire series around Merrickville is a lot like Dabeagle’s Sanitaria Springs. There is definitely something in the water, gay boys either grow up there or are attracted there, and they learn to support each other, and for the most part have support from the community. This chapter shows Alvin’s self reliance, and his willingness to ask for help when needed. The town supports them both. Tabby’s postcards are both a geographic journey as well as a reflection of his inner journey back to his home with Alvin. Seems like they both needed this time apart. Love the Jeep being Peters coming into their lives, it has a lot of gardening history…

Love the beginning of this SciFi story. Maybe it was Mark saying the name written on the outside of the chrysalis that started the revival? Will be interesting to get more background on both of them. This tech was more advanced than the space faring race who brought space travel to earth? Is he from the future?

Seems Adrian has his own past he is wrestling with. Hopefully they don’t wait too long to really connect.

Great ending to a very interesting story. Love the world you created, and most of the characters.

Wow great interaction with the opposing sides. Nice Cliffhanger. Is it Q in the world as a human? Or a doppelgänger? This should be interesting.
