Jack thinks he’s hallucinating in this real, but it just seems to be magic manifesting. He saves Vee with the tree leaves. I’m feeling that the tree Theo found is not the one he was looking for. The boys need to find him soon.

The mood the music, the realization of what has been in front of you all this time. The beach is beautiful in the moonlight. Hard to tell where this is going. Some of the first chapter was in flashback, so we know something changed, but not what yet.

They got together. And the possibility of a future together is there. The law of attraction is real, I was thinking that in the last chapter, Finn is the result of the work on the book, and Mr. Choi confirmed it. -
Morgan thinks she has outmatched them all, but she doesn’t know Simon is a warlock and has the book. This will be a good fight.

Ain was able to get to Fenn before he got too destructive, the invisible man was able to take him down, and disable him. Then the Orinoco forces arrived. They’re going to be dead soon if Ain unleashes his power on them. How did they know where to show up? Seems like the Herald needs to be captured and held accountable too.

Bran is doing much better after getting his sea legs. The first few days were rough. Lloyd is a good teacher and telling Wylan what he thinks he needs to know and Shaunterra him how to protect himself, and letting the sailors see the training so they’re aware if they try something they will likely get injured. Ser Val is amazing.

There is a lot of foreshadowing in this. It seems like Julian is living an amazing life, but it’s all on the surface. I have a suspicion that Victor and Mark have something going on, just a hunch, but it’s clearly hinted at. That alone will devastate Julian, when he finds out.

Daniel is coming apart, and the end of this chapter suggests he will never get what he’s looking for. Which is really sad. His best friend is there, but even he probably can’t fill the gap.

Finn isn’t what he’s pretending to be. The ability to hack a computer, get access to the competing books, background research on the community, there is something much more going on there. Was he a plant? Did someone want the winner of the fellowship to have a companion? So many options. -
Adam was finally able to say goodbye to Jamie, that was a beautiful ritual.

It’s very interesting that the spell book has deliberate mistranslations so that if they are cast will bring ancient evil beings into the present… wonder where she got the book from? And is what she is trying to do with the goddess ascension an error too?

Interesting historical perspective. The subset of individuals we get to see in the story played out in the background of a tragic history. Wylan is very endearing and charming center, his ability with animals will be very valuable.

Louis is learning more and more how to avoid being injured. The ability to sew well is a great skill and they are making money with that skill now.

Loving these characters. Daredevil is blind and can fight quite well. Wylan is very good and eager to learn. Val is enthusiastic in her encouragement of this couple.
