We’ve met the parents before, but Jasper seem super down about this visit. Then the whole fake marriage with Grace is just something crazy waiting to happen.

If Rhaelce, has feelings for Malik, maybe he can overcome whatever superstition is causing him to be afraid… it would be sad for both of them if this truly ended their relationship. Hind of a cliffhanger ending to a book. Looking forward to the next one.

Finally Val forces Ashot and Stephen to get together… Darian is correct about telling Ashot he is too smart not to be able to read, and gives him good advice about waiting for Stephen to get over his upbringing and take Ashot’s hand in public. Poison was prolific in those times for killing people. Did the priest even realize it? The gift of the Norsemen’s oath was quite something. Wonder how they will fit in with the Vanguard family? The don’t seem to have any issue with MM relationships.

Brant really was a stallion in this scene. I’m very glad Brant reinforces his feelings that he wants to continue to be in this relationship when they return home. Wonder if Brant had told his parents he was playing a gay part in a film. They seemed to take the “Bromance” news ok.

Colt learns more about Noah’s past, that he is often “sick” and misses school. Something is not right about that for sure. Maybe Colt and Noah in the treehouse smoking will get Noah to open up more about what else is happening to him.

So, D20 said that there are nine days left of fuel reserves for the current FTL speed. Then the trip calculator says it’s 12 days to this Port Haven location. That seems like a problem. As much as Eriks is complaining he is ready for round two of the bondage sex. Does the chair recline? are they gonna continue to Port Haven and get Lucas fixed, or turn around and go kill Tripp, hoping there’s no override that Lucas can’t actually kill him.

David’s feedback was hopefully good news for both Sky and Brant. Hopefully when they are done shooting this that other roles come in for Sky, and Brant. Sky talking with his friend still thinks this may end after they get back home, but not sure why. Brant has been pretty direct about having a relationship.

Wow, that was a complete surprise Tripp becoming a bad guy. How did he figure that Eriks would be his ticket to be able to take over all of the constructs? They had been friends for a long time. The they lucked onto the original construct the others were modeled after. Maybe Lukas can debug himself and figure out how to override the command. Then spread it to the other constructs he encounters. Slow virus? -
What an amazing ending. They are all alive. Is the magic truly gone, or just moved? Looking forward to the next book.

Damn, what a way to start a story, then drop is on a cliffhanger. If I remember right, Julie lived in the house with them with her boyfriend in the early stories. But I could be wrong, and Julie was the piece of work aunt… the next chapter will tell.
