Once upon a time a young man named Gregor was sent on a long journey across the mountains to be apprenticed to be a butcher. He came to the proverbial fork in the road neither of which were good choices. Gregor chooses the short, easy route, a choice he may live to regret.

In ancient history, a chiseling king with an overbearing pride was stopped before he could gain immortality. Thousands of years later, he’s rising up again to fulfill his greed and this time six novice teenagers are chosen to end him and his evil ambitions. These teenagers will travel through time and mythological books to accomplish their goal and along the way they will find some dark secrets about that king and themselves.

Sworn by his father to seek out the guild no sooner than his sixteenth birthday and pressured by his mother to not seek it out at all, Jiovanni must deal with the growing pressures within himself and within his family...see the prologue for more detail.

David and Jeremy face homophobia as they do a little back-to-school shoping. Not only do they come out, but they make new friends and find acceptance. (August, 2007)
