Working at his grandfather's old toy shop, Dallas always dreamed of finding his Prince Charming and live his own happily ever after in a world where mermaids, fairies and magic are the new normal. Unfortunately, he was already twenty-one years old and hadn't had his first kiss yet. But things change when he meets a man named Forrest who can satisfy Dallas's every desire with no "strings attached." However, he wants more than just the physical with Forrest and as they get closer, Dallas will have to "pull some strings" to discover what it truly means to be alive with a man who is keeping secrets that ties their pasts together.

"The child lay in his bed, curled up into a fetal position as he stared at the door across from him. It wasn't a door. It was a giant flab of flesh, glowing like when you put a flashlight under your hand, and breathing like a lung. It breathed slowly, filling with air and then flattening out. Then it breathed again. The boy was too scared to close his eyes, so he stared at the door that never left his room. It had been there for months. Haunting the child. Traumatizing him."
