When writing the fictionalised biography Camp Echo I had to make choices about what to include and what to leave out. Rather like a director's cut I decided that some of the story omitted deserves its place, for those of you wanting to know more.

After a family dispute, Joshua goes his own direction, having completed university with a degree in Marine Science, and he goes in search of a former Uni classmate, to convince him to join forces to set up a research project in the Indian Ocean.
