When writing the fictionalised biography Camp Echo I had to make choices about what to include and what to leave out. Rather like a director's cut I decided that some of the story omitted deserves its place, for those of you wanting to know more.

Tom decides to find out what the concierge is really offering and in doing so finds himself on the threshold of an experience that he had never allowed himself to think possible.
