In most of the northern hemisphere, today is the darkest, longest night of the year; the Winter Solstice. Not where I am, however. Today is just as dark as yesterday, and the day before that, and it will be just as dark tomorrow.

What to do to kill time while on vacation? Go for a spot of shopping and buy some new clothes. A true story that happened to me.

Left to give out candy in his penthouse apartment, Seth can't even go trick-or-treating this year. Making the best of it, he dresses up as an obscure Star Trek character that no one will recognize. Asher has become a bit of a loner since starting high school. With no parties to go to, he dresses up and goes trick-or-treating in New York City high-rise. This story is about Mike. His mother volunteered him to help out during the Sinterklaas parade in the Netherlands. It's not really something he would do normally, but he has no choice. In the end, however, it was surely worth his time.
