Boccaccio's Decameron, a story of renewal and recreation in defiance of a decimating pandemic, relates how ten self-isolated Italians pass the time regaling each other with tall tales during the Black Plague. While Covid19 wasn't nearly as decimating, the opportunity for such entertainment did exist. As a takeoff on that idea, this short story might well be a modern version of one of the tales, recounting events of earlier, less stressful times.

Ben and Jim are half-brothers and sons of self-made billionaire Jerome Henandez. The Henandez sons are handsome, charming and intelligent, groomed to lead and head the multi-million empire set up by their father. Though half-brothers, their love for each other is manifested in everything they do.

However, everything changes when David enters the picture. Their lives become intertwined through scandals, rivalry and romance when Jim falls hopelessly in love with the handsome hunk who on the other hand has his eyes on the kindhearted, mysterious and strong-headed Ben. Who will rise and fall in this game of love?

This is the first story in the series entitled, "Wearing Green on Thursday." It is the first part of the fictional autobiography of Bruce Hutton, a gay man in his late forties.

In this story, we meet Bruce, who is a championship swimmer, and learn of his struggles with his sexuality. We are introduced to his best friend, Craig, with whom Bruce will have the pleasure of exploring gay sex.
