James Esposito grew up projects in Brooklyn in the 1980's. His whole life being haunted by his fear of turning into his abusive alcoholic father. While has parents come in and out of his life, he finds guidance in his English teacher who his helps explore his love for writing and to come to terms with his sexuality, discovering that he is falling madly in love with his best friend. James battles himself and his close-minded environment to come out and find who he truly is.
