Weekly Wrap Up (Jan. 5 - Jan. 11)

    By wildone

First a disclaimer, I'm tired and none of me editors are around to read the wrap up for me   I hate to say but the first couple of weeks have been terrible for our US friends and neighbours it seems. With LA burning down and the east and southeast getting blasted by ice and snow, I have to say I hope that all of them are okay  I'm sure there is other places too that are having strange and wakey weather too, like Friday we had an actual thunderstorm (rain) and a blizzard Saturday night. My Dad

Saturday night at 11:05 PM, I lost my dad to a long and slow battle with dementia. He was relaxed and comfortable when he passed and luckily all 3 of his children were by his side. I thought I would take some time to tell you about my Dad. He was born in 1940 to parents that lived in military base housing. His Dad was in the military and luckily never got called overseas to fight in WW2. Luckily Dad never had to move base to base other than once. His early years were in Ottawa and then

Fun with the Eagle Nebulea

This is the Eagle Nebula. It is otherwise known as M-16 or "the Pillars of Creation". As a star forming region, it has long been studied. The Hubble's images from the nineties have given us a better look at it than ever before. We can now see structures that no telescope ever before could resolve. This gave us a chance to see these gems. All of these artifacts are gas, dust, multiple stars in the process of formation and their interactions. The Demon is five major stars form

Weekly Wrap Up (Jul 25 - Jul 31)

Nope, your eyes aren't playing tricks on you, you've got me to finish out the week, and the month. I'm not as good as Steve with the intro's, so let's just get right into it. We only had a couple of blogs this week, so since this will be a quick wrap up, I'll just do a quick reminder to start it out. If you're interested in writing for the next anthology, you have 3 months left to get your story written and to the proof team. The deadline for the fall anthology is October 31st and you have

Wayne's Prompts

Thank you to everyone that submitted a prompt reply to Comicfan's final prompts before we lost him   I think we had 5 submissions and each one of them are amazing. I imagine if Wayne had any relatives that were aware of his large participation on site, they would be happy to see that people submitted. I know I'm proud of everyone ❤️ So as mentioned, we wanted to hear your favourite prompts from the past, and we would re-feature them and see if you want to continue on if you already sen

Make sure you share your thoughts in the comments below, but first, enjoy this interview where Drew spills all (including what story he cameos in... can you guess which one before you read it?) Do you eat your fruits and vegetables? Yes, I try to get my five portions a day. What’s a good meal without
