Well, it has come The semi official end of Summer in my little area of the world. Today we had rain, we had hail, an hour west of me they had the S word flying though the air . Hoping everyone else is having less seasonal weather than me! I do realize that the southern hemisphere is ramping up for Summer, and other places don't really have a winter, but seasons are a changing!   Your next weather forecast live at 11 PM!   Let's get down to business and look at what the GA

Weekly Wrap Up (Aug 15 - Aug 21)

Howdy all!  Steve asked me to take over this week. I'm still a little rusty at doing the weekly wrap up, but let's see what we had going on this past week. Not going to do a huge intro though, because it's been a big week here with my little man joining many others in starting school this week (yes, he's already 3 years old and starting preschool!).  And of course, after finally getting to be around other kids, my little man has caught a cold and wants snuggles with his mama. So let's take a loo

Weekly Wrap Up (Aug 13 - Aug 19)

Happy Sunday, y'all. What do you think of the snazzy look of GA? Yep, we had an update yesterday. If you find any bugs, make sure to go and let us know in the help forum, but remember, only one question/bug per topic. This update also included Clubs, so go check out what's available. If you're an author, make sure you join the Writer's Circle. If you were a member of The Pit, make sure you go and join the club as The Pit is being moved to a club. So, let's take a look at what happened outside of

Weekly Wrap Up (Aug 12 - Aug 18)

Well hello everyone! Happy Sunday I hope for you all. I was shocked to hear that the schools in some parts of the US are back in already. What about your neck of the woods, what is the school year like? I imagine down under and elsewhere it is probably ramping up for summer holidays soon. I think it is interesting when you read a story from another country than your own, as I actually learn more about that country in a way that is never taught in school.   Oh, I'm here to do the weekly

Back for a week and then gone again! That's right, you're stuck with me again this week. @wildone got called out of town unexpectedly and asked me to do the wrap up. If you haven't already done so, please go vote in the Anthology Theme Selection for next year!  We've only had fifteen votes for the top themes next year. With almost 1,300 authors and almost 27,000 members in total, 280 of whom are already members of the Writer's Circle club, I had hoped for a much better turnout. All members are e

Weekly Wrap Up (April 9 - April 15)

Did you notice we had an announcement this week that you won't probably see regular blogs about every week? It was a bit busier week than usual on a Anthology release week. Now that we have two weeks of poetry anthos out, tell me 2 things. 1, how many have you read. 2, which one would you recommend to others? Okay, you don't have to choose just 1, but was thinking that we might get a wide range of likes. Maybe even tell us what you liked about it as if you were a salesman selling poems lik

It is a sad weekend for me . My beloved Flames went down into a burning ring of fire 🔥. Both BHopper and me are both crying in our beers 🍻 notice the plural. If you are of the Christian faith, Happy Easter Sunday. If you are of the Hebrew faith, Happy Passover. I'm sure I'm missing some others, so make sure you comment below on what I did miss Looking back at the GA Weekly Blog this week, it all started off on Monday with Cia bringing us a New Classic Author Feature: And

I'm shocked  I'm surprised  I'm flabbergasted  And you all should be too! When I found this out yesterday I was left with my mouth agape . Just when you thought you knew a guy, you find out how little you know! And then, to top it all off, he chooses to use deceit and misguidance to throw everyone further off the track. It has been pointed out that he didn't lie, but to me he might have just well have . I'm not willing to turn my back on him and I think no one else should either .   Au

Has the past month flown by for you too?  It seems like only a little while ago that we were being told to baton down the hatches and start practicing physical distancing. Work days blend into supposedly days off and daily chores and tasks are being done more. As even one member commented, her Dad was washing walls, walls!!!! I see the blogs are starting to really take off. Interesting reading how so many people are dealing with the times as well as their thoughts on it too. Some of your status

It might be spring where you are, except our friends in the Southern Hemisphere It was a beautiful day today and will be tomorrow. Only to be followed by snow on Monday and Tuesday  Well I said, darn it and I started my spring cleaning today. OMG, I can't believe how much I threw out, recycling where I can. I started with my pantry. I'll admit I was ashamed of myself . I found stuff at the back of the cupboard that had expired in 2022 😮.  So that leads me to my controversial question for t

Now anyone that follows me, yeah, all ten of you , heard that my computer decided that the warranty is up, and it gave me 5 years of loyal service that it was ready to hit the recycling bin  Went out and got a new one, paid the warranty (is it worth it? ), and the $150 to transfer my data from the old hard drive to the new one. I asked, is that possible if the old one is dead? Oh yeah, no problem. Fast forward 24 hours, yeah, your hard drive is not in good condition and we can't transfer the dat

Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening, or Good Night! No matter how you look at it, I'm late  A big thank you to Cia for stepping in last week to do the Wrap Up for me! I'm just going to just go with the facts today, not too much more . On Monday, after working on Sunday, Cia introduced us to an all new Can't Stop Reading Feature: Then on Wednesday, it was the fist one of the month! Any and all spelling and grammar mistakes are fully mine and not the fault of my editors. Maybe I should think about getting an editor for once   Today, as in this afternoon I went to the Calgary International Beer Fest. Over 200 Craft breweries with over 700 types of beers, spirits, ciders and meads 😮 Oh my. Considered the largest in Canada and one of the top 5 in the world. Somehow I had a few shots of moonshine too!  I may or nay not be a bit tipsy  If I had the foresight, I could h

I guess I get to say 'May the fourth be with you', as technically in my time zone, the west coast of N.A and S.A and Hawaii, it is still Saturday With the first of May past us, I just wonder when spring will start here Snow, snow go away and to down to Australia today Oh, before I forget Everyone should take note of the upcoming deadline to get their Anthologies in. 10 days and counting!! Weekly Wrap Up (Apr. 26 - May 2)

Whoa, just about forgot to do up the weekly update today. Why you ask? I've occupied most of my day playing with myself  Now get your minds out of the gutter. I woke up this morning and having nothing pressing to do, I sat down in front of the computer and played solitaire by myself. Then after some lunch, I fired up the PS4 and played the Campaign on COD 🔫 . Well that kept me occupied for a lot of hours. After dinner, I was tired of being online, so I looked in a not often used cupboa

Well did you tune into Justin Timberlake and NSYNC yesterday and today as they sang their song, Its Going To Be May. Well like the Backstreet Boys sung, It's Gonna be May  Seriously, listen to this song and tell me I'm wrong     In other news, I have had my spiel with Covid  Not an enjoyable week so far, but getting better. I really do feel sorry for everyone that has loss loved ones, had Covid themselves, or had it multiple times. Then some of you have fallen into the long haul group. I just hope that everyone continues to get through this and move on to bigger and better things   Loo

It appears that spring has finally sprung in my neck of the woods. All week we are supposed to be above 20 (68F) and by Thursday up to 27 (80.6 F)  I will need to be bringing out the SPF 2200 for that day 😊 Sure enough, I head back to the office grind on Monday, but I really can't complain about the temperatures as I was not going to let the weather dictate my vacation so I wore shorts and sandals every day 😎I do however hope that everyone that are experiencing adverse weather in their area are

Hey all. This week we continued to focus on the tragic news of @Comicality's passing. I know when I do the wrap up, I'm kind of doing what I hope some of your are doing. catching up on what happened over the week. When I heard we were out of Comsie's articles and also another blog when we heard he was having some health concerns, never did I know this would happen .
