    Summer Resolutions, Anyone?

    This year I’m going to clear out the shed. I’ll try this long hike someone recommended. I won’t sleep in every day.  I’ll eat healthy, all these yummy vegetables and fruit that are available now. A "Wordy" Entry

The Taiwanese postal service is evil

So, I've already shipped two big boxes of books back home, and I never thought sending them by surface mail would be so friggin' expensive. I had a third box to mail today, which was considerably heavier than the previous two (I have some massive dictionaries and reference books). So I might change my profile name

Okay, so I'm thinking about changing my user name for some odd reason. I'm not sure why, but I have this idea that somehow changing my profile name might make my stories seem more exciting and people would want to read them. Unfortunately, I went to change it, and the name I was going to go with (Nick) was already being used by someone who hasnt been on since like 2003. Wow. It's a schooner.

I'm writing this not so much because I have anything to say, but because if I don't take a break I'm gonna end up curled up in the corner screaming. I just want to say that I think people who use other people as pawns in head games are the lowest form of life. Especially when they use vulnerable people. There are people like this. They can smell who is useable and who is not. I suspect they spend much of their conscious time sniffing the air

My Hips Don't Lie

Ok so let's see. Here's a quick recap of what happened over the Easter holidays.   My mom and I went and visited my grandmother and aunt (dad's side of the family). My grandmother decided to give me my graduation present early. Yay! Thesis editing and itchy legs

What a combo, eh? So my graduate advisor gave back my thesis yesterday, and thankfully there weren't that many corrections to make, mostly just puncutation (English and Chinese use of commas is VERY different) and some word choice. She also didn't think I should leave an extra space between paragraphs. That was about it, though, and she said, "You shouldn't have any problem graduating." Speed Skaters

So I've been glued to the TV watching the winter olympics....and I've been watching this controversy in the US men's team. Apparently Hedrick and Shani Davis are about ready to kill each other. I keep trying to figure out which one I like, and who I think is "right" in this situation. I was a big Hedrick fan, because he's good (and hot), but Shani, with his shyness, and barrier-breaking medal, appeals to me as well. Anyone got any insight?

Trying my hand at poetry

Ok, so I've started a Poetry Series at the efiction section of this site. and I've been getting some good reviews. I mean, my first poem wasn't that good. Sweetheart is SUCH a good kitty

Saturday night ramblings

The preparations for my move are coming along pretty well. I've managed to pitch some more junk and trash (since I'm such a pack rat), done some cleaning, and tomorrow I'll box up some books to take to the post office on Monday.
