Some thoughts

As I sit here at my computer, at my desk, I can't help but think over the last few days, even as my ankle swells because I hut it earlier. And I can't help but say, that sometimes, life sucks. Really, really sucks. I'm in pain, I have a cold...and I'm finding out that most of my favorite vidoes have been deleted from youtube. Is that happening to you?

It's over!

The final chapter of The Pastel Cowboy has been posted and all the strings were tied into pretty bows.   There are five more chapters of Tim and the Corsair, which will be posted in the next couple months.   Unfortunately, the Kevin project or whatever else is to follow Tim is still in the development stage, or worse.   My life right now has been reduced to what happens today, or worse, what happens this moment.   A good day means exercising, bathing, putting on clothes, and going out of

Relativism

Hi Everyone,   This is from the Disturbing Trend thread in the Lounge that Jamie posted.   I find this topic endlessly interesting so I decided to post my response in here as well. Hopefully you guys will let me know what you think about this topic!     ___________________________________________     **sigh**   This is gonna be long...   **enter the relativist**   Well, despite the fact that I usually tend to agree with Jamie and Menzo, I'm going to have to vehemently disa

Sick. Yes, again.

I'm sick, so screw proper diction.   If it wasn't for the ever changing symptoms, I would be worried that I was simply staying sick, never actually beating it off completely. I also realized where I am picking up these little bits of joy. My second job involves interacting with people that come to Southern California from all over the country. I'm a lightening rod for illness, so it is little wonder that I am picking up a complete selection of this countries flu strains, one after another.

In Therapy

Okay, this is the deal:   I'm working on why my mother's death threw me into a major depressive episode that came within a hair's breadth of resulting in an exit attempt. I think the only reason I don't try harder is that some part of me thinks everything will work out for the better. Also, I don't like pain and while being run over by a truck is certain to cause death, it might not be immediate. Hypothermia is still my means of choice, but I didn't do that either. Why I don't know.   We're

to new beginnings...

It's February now, officially, even if it is only 2:24 a.m. and I'm waiting for Rich to get home from work for the second time today. I keep smiling to myself, and not those small little smiles that you can sort of subdue if need be, but the uncontrollable, nothing-is-gonna-be-able-to-get-this-thing-off-my-face kind. I'm sure that has everything to do with the fact that Jeff is probably hugging the boy he loves for the first time right now and that I thought of something great to do when Steve

The boys I love

So this blog's going to be kinda gossipy and I doubt it'll be particularly relevant to anyone but me, but anyway...   Life's been fantastic lately, even for me. I really can't remember the last time had so much fun crammed into two months (or however long this little bright patch has been going now...might be three...anyway...). The only downside is that I've been having so much fun and partying so much that *gasp* it actually kinda started to catch up with me. LOL, I think the last time I

I hate this Fing Blog.

So no matter what, but whenever I post about a certain topic in here, it all goes to hell. And as much as I'd really like to post about that topic, I'm going to refrain because it's a pain in the ass and if it all goes to hell like it has in the past, then I'm going to be pissed. Royally. So if you know what I'm talking about, don't comment it in because I'm superstitious like that   Anyways, I don't know how long it's been since I last posted, but I assume it wasn't too long ago and I'm post

Snakes and such

Return of the odd dreams. The last time we visited my cracked out subconscious, there were meteors and the world breaking up into little islands in space. This go around snakes. Not on a plane. Samuel L. Jackson wasn't there in as his slick line goodness. Just the snake, in my top dresser drawer. It was dark green like a broad tropical leaf, and its length was plastered with reddish brown diamonds. Yes it had a rattle.   I had a pair of tongs, and an old pillow case.   For the mo

Big Time Blahs

I'm not working on the Kevin project.   I've written a couple blog entries, but nothing else.   It's been a week since my prescription was upped to 40mg and I'm finally coming out of the fog. I've been asleep for most of the time, but I sleep fitfully.   The Pastel Cowboy is coming to a close. One more chapter, but the Kevin project is not ready to launch.   Tim and the Corsair has five more chapters, but I don't think the Kevin project will be ready to launch at that time, either.   I

Cousins and Stuff

So today some really huge issues came up and I am really at a loss as to further course of action. I know beyond any shadow of a doubt that I have to take serious action regarding these issues, because I know I can't just let them lie. If I do, I may end up with regrets that I'm just not willing to live with. One of these involves a sorta.... well.... let's say that it's within the realm of those few and far between things I just can't talk about on my blog due to possible legal repercussions

20 reasons why no one wants to win in November

Does it seem like no one wants to win in November? There may be something to that.   The United States faces a perfect economic storm which has the potential to cause economic problems the likes of which haven't been seen since the 1930's. These twenty domestic and foreign policy problems will give the new resident of the White House many sleepless nights.     Item 1: 100/barrel oil- The US economy is based on cheap oil and can not sustain 100/barrel oil prices without causing inflation or

What the hell?

I know the whole dating game is just that a game. A way to find out what interests us, and what we can definately live with out. That said, why do we feel intimidated by people we find interesting? Under that intimidation, why do we take the next thing? Why not just soldier through and grow a set or two and ask the person we find interesting out?   My sister has this hot and cold crush on the guy that works down the way. She is too affraid to move things along, fearing rejection I guess. I can

What's the sitches, bitches?

HAHAHAHA! I heard that last night on the comedy channel and was hysterical for a good five minutes afterwards... although in my defense, I was exhausted and had just spent nine hours in a grocery store.   So, I spent the day doing nothing, so far anyway. I managed to get Ventrilo installed and got Davey to come, too and then they all teamed up on me... but I can handle it it's pretty cool. I talked to Adrian Michaels, Rakuten, Lost Cause, Tob, and Davey for a while. It was pretty easy to in

Mercury Messenger's First Look

Here is Messenger's first look at Mercury: the first pictures since Mariner 10 made three fly bys in 1974 and 1975.   It is believed that Mercury's surface has been largely undisturbed since the Solar Systems late bombardment phase ~4-5 billion years ago.   Over the next few months Messenger will settle in to an orbit of Mercury and will stay there for extended studies of the planet.

He really hates me

...I didn't realize that until tonight.   So everyone remember the friend former friend who ended our relationship coldly and completely with a letter? Well, it sucked alot, and it hurt like hell, as I'm sure you've all gathered from my blogs. It didn't help that the events transpired while I was physically as sick as I've been in years, and shortly before I quit my job and broke up with my boyfriend. In fact I think there's some old adage somewhere about striking someone with your foot whi

This should be fun

A week or so ago, I was chatting with Mike about how I was a morning person, and quite happy to be one. Aside for a couple years (ages 15-19), I've been getting up earlier than my peers and enjoying that sort of existence. It was really great when I was going to college, and summer mornings it could seem like no one for about a mile was up at 7 am except for me.   And now my work has switched me to a 7pm to 7am schedule, meaning I have now joined the dark side.   Except I haven't, really. I'

In the end

...only kindness matters. These are words to live by.   People are not inherently kind. We're a twisted, complicated bunch. We hurt others. We disappoint others. We always believe that the hurt we cause is greatly out-weighed by the hurt we go through. I don't think this is the case.   But I think it's okay to hurt. It's a part of life, a learning experience that spurs empathy and helps us reevaluate our circumstances. Does this mean we should hurt others to help them grow and ma

Need to laugh

Okay, so I'm grasping a straws, willing to do anything to pull the slightest tee-hee out of the air, even if it means stealing a cartoon from another blogger, even if it means resorting to a dog joke.   I have not worked on the Kevin project.   I can barely get anything done.   I have to force myself to do the simplest things.   I am getting better, though.   I'm not plagued with fits of unstoppable yawning. I'm not feeling drugged into submission.   I am tired, though.   So, I loo
