San Francisco Recap

Well, I made it back from San Francisco safe and sound late last night, and was back to work bright and early this morning. First of all, the business part of the trip was a big success, and although I worked long hours the whole time, it was well worth it. Short entry today.   Three years ago, I was trying to write my second novella. The first had been demanding as hell, and I never did complete the follow-up. Don't have time for this

I have to be in Gresham, OR, around 10:00 this morning. I said I'd be there to drop this trailer.   Day before yesterday I did the Bay Area. Drove from Corning, CA, to Livermore to deliver some box making material. Then it was down to Oakland to finish the load. I had to sit for a bit before my dispatcher found a load for me. It was in Stockton.   I don't know if I have a load or if I'm taking the weekend off. A couple weeks ago I asked for the time off, but didn't hear if it was approved.

So! Yesterday I got accepted to The University of Wisconsin Green Bay, and that is where I am going to go!! I am very excited. I am not sure what I am going to study yet... but I do know that I would like ot get a minor in Spanish. I think that I might get a major in Social Work, but I am really not sure yet, so for my first year I am going to go as undecided.   Now, i have lived all of my life in Green Bay. Friday Can't Come Fast Enough

They might die

I worked on the Winter Anthology story today and got quite a bit done.   I think the two boys are going to die.   I don't want them to die, but the way the story is going it seems inevitable that they'll die.   I just haven't quite figure out how to go about setting it up because if they die both of them have to die at the same time. Politics

I was talking politics with a friend of mine and I think I want to explain my views. I am pretty liberal, but I can usually understand both sides of an argument. Here's just what I think of a few things:   The President I think that people don't give him enough credit. I mean honestly, he's doing the best he can. Priorities

Autumn of my Mind

Contrary to popular belief, California does have seasons. They are Tourist, Fire, Holiday, and Flood. I find myself strangely homesick, because I can smell ash in the air. Not that I can escape out of the city if I wanted to, all the places I would run to has a fire blocking access. I wonder how the people at my old job are coping. I'm at the Garlic Farm truck stop in Gilroy today. I delivered a load of cardboard to a box manufacturer earlier this morning. Damn, I'm tired!

The title of this blog says it all ... I'm exhausted! I've been working at least 50-60 hours/week for the past couple months, and it's really wearing me down. For those of you who are wondering when the next chapter of "When I See You Again" will be posted, it's probably not going to be until I get back from San Francisco in early November.
