Well howdy partner :cowboy:

Yes, it is that time of the year that all the cowboys and cowgurls come out of the woodwork in Calgary for the annual Stampede. So far after 2 days things are huge! No restrictions and everyone seems to be having a good time! I've been down at the grounds for the past two nights and there is lots to see, people to see and people to do :POops, did I say that out load :gikkle:

So for public engagement, if you are willing to reveal where you live; city, town or country, is there one BIG party, festival, or event that brings in tons of people and you have a great time at? I'm thinking the Texas State Fair, the PNE an CNE in Vancouver and Toronto. Octoberfest in Germany. So what about where you are? What time of the year should I come for a visit :). If anyone suggests Buffalo in January for the Bill's run for the Superbowl, I think I will skip 0:) (I think I will hear about this one :P ).

If anyone suggests Buffalo in January for the Bill's run for the Superbowl, I think I will skip 0:) (I think I will hear about this one :P ).

You're from Calgary... our winters are nothing compared to yours :P

Buffalo is definitely a sports town.  You can see good 🏈 🥍  or bad :Steve2:, depending on what team you want to watch :gikkle:  I think we're cursed to never win a national championship though. *coughcoughsuperbowlcoughcough*  The Buffalo Bandits lacrosse team just lost the national championship in the last game

But sports aside, there is always something to do here.  We're known for our festivals.  Pretty much every weekend in the summer, there's some kind of festival going on.  Italian, Polish, Juneteenth, Allentown Art Festival, Eden Corn Festival, Wingfest.  This weekend is the Taste of Buffalo.  The first week of June is Pride Week.  There's festivals going on all year, but they really ramp up in the summer.

We're really close to Niagara Falls, and it's definitely worth seeing them in the winter.  The ice formations are really beautiful.  And I promise to leave the barrels at home   :gikkle:

Oh and I almost forgot the Erie County Fair!  It's the biggest county fair in the country--bigger than most state fairs.  It's well worth visiting!
