Here in the wilds of central Massachusetts the daffodils, crocus, and the many tapped maple trees are heralding the advent of spring at last. Maple syrup season is upon us!!

Of course, the weather is ignoring most of my wishes as warm, tantalizingly days with the thermometer tickling the low to mid-sixties are followed by chilly raw, windy days when we barely climb past the mid-forties...

My new alarm clock, the return of the many songbirds, confirms the wonderful change of the seasons, and as I write this the sun is peeking over the horizon. I'm looking forward to the longer days as the sun's rays grow stronger. No longer to I have to content myself with basking behind my double-pane windows on a wintry afternoon.

Scouring the yard to pick up the remains of winters debris of broken branches and windblown trash, mud season is arriving as the ground gives up its hoary frost. I nearly got the lawn tractor stuck pulling a trailer full of stuff for the leaf pile!!

There's not much to complain about here, there's been an odd sighting or two of some black bears breaking their seasonal nap and much to look forward to as the days grow longer and warmer. Of course, that means as the trees begin to leaf out, the return of the black flies, mosquitos, and various and sundry other flying pests...

Pancakes, french toast anyone, and be sure to pass the Maple Syrup!!

Too dry here in Texas for any of the flowers to have made an appearance yet, at least in my part of the state.

I'll wait until late spring to do my sprint cleaning.  It's still too cold here, only 41 degrees F at the moment and I want to watch the March Madness games later.   

Nice to see a fellow Citizen of the Commonwealth is getting a warm-up in temperatures while here on the North-coast it remains all too chilly. I spent most of my time this week scouring the Boston Globe and WAPO for any signs of a breakthrough in the tension many of us in the U.S. are feeling, and then there is the music — I usually listen to an album or two (digitally) of various artists each day. I usually play CDs on my desktop computer or listen to music on YouTube.

Usually on my phone. I’ll hit YouTube if I come across something I want to hear that isn’t among the 2218 songs in my hand.

Depends on what I'm doing, but usually my tablet for youtube. But if I'm using Spotify then through my TV and Soundbar.

I don't have spring cleaning planned, but more of a whole-house purge, detoxify, deep cleaning.  It's desperately needed as I can't keep up with it myself anymore, so my mom is going to help me.  It will be a slow go, but we'll git 'er done eventually.  

The trees here are budding and the maple sap is running, so yay for maple season!  It's too cold for flowers yet, but the spring bulbs are at least sprouting.  

Like Steve mentioned, only about a week to get in the links for the Poetry Anthology!  Let's see what everyone came up with for Diversity 😁

Sigh... lol. You have no idea the turns our conversations take... mostly his fault, of course. 

Spring cleaning for me begins with finding a nice sunny day during the week, and I open every window, every door, any opening to the outside world and I let the breeze recirculate in the house. I hate how stuffy the air gets during the winter, even though I know our heating system does circulate and filter the air, and I do have air filtering. It just feels good when the seasons change and you can open the house to fresh air.

But then, yeah.. like you.. I take it room by room, inch by inch.. and I deep clean everything. Rearrange furniture... it irritates everyone in the house, as my spring cleaning takes me a couple of weeks.  But they better not backtalk me, I can find them more to do if they have the time to sass me. 

@wildone you can try to, but I doubt the underwear you're attempting to write off as a business expense will get you through an audit. And, 100% of the profit is still a 100% loss for me. You are my write-off, congratulations.

Gasp! You’re still using the iPhone 4? 🤯 I still have an iPod classic which uses that connection, and I have the connection cord and charging puck — not that I actually use the thing. My understanding is that it’s a collectible nowadays. My sister has my old and donated iPhone 4s hidden in a closet somewhere, in the dark where it belongs. 😉
