I keep wondering whether Rover has any superhuman powers the potential of which he hasn't yet discovered. Afterall, he put his hand on the exact spot that made the spaceship implode. Slade's comforting presence was the only thing that Rover could feel; the warmth of his skin beneath the fabric of his shirt, the warmth that seeped through Rover's fingers and deep into his chest, so warm it was hot, so hot that it set the very strings of his heart in a fire that was as intense as it was enduring. And even though Rover did not know what this feeling was, not once did he stop to think and question it. 1

I think I'm pissing you guys off with short chapters, so I'll be posting somewhat more frequently since life is only going to progressively get more busy. The story is coming to an end, but there are a few more to go : ). I'll be uploading in about two more batches, and then finito! Chapter Twenty Three is one of the more momentous moments of the story, so I hope you'll enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it : ). ..................GRRRRRRRRRR!!!
