liukas_soli Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 by the Carpenters I'll Be Home for Christmas These two get me almost each time I hear them. The holidays are the emotional time of year for me.
JamieD Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 Ok, I cry a lot but usually not with songs. The only one that I can remember crying for is 'The Letter' from the West End musical Billy Elliot. I saw the musical in London and bought the CD at the end of the show; now every time I listen to the song I feel this knot in my chest lol...maybe its because I can still remember the performance but...here it is if anyone wants to hear it. 1
Hoskins Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 You Don't Bring Me Flowers - Neil Diamond and Barbra Streisand. That song makes me cry every time I hear it. Man does that song SUCK.
jack2500 Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 There's one song that really brought me to tears: "How To Save A Life" by The Fray
x Trevor x Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Touching And Kissing By Cinema Bizarre Escape To The Stars By Cinema Bizarre There are tons of others but these two are the most recent. The music isn't really sad but it's the lyrics that get me. 1
Tiger Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 You Don't Bring Me Flowers - Neil Diamond and Barbra Streisand. That song makes me cry every time I hear it. Man does that song SUCK. That's how I feel about I Love a Rainy Night by Eddie Rabbit. It's the most bloody awful song ever written.
BenKT Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 (edited) Key to my life. (Boyzone) --------And these lines--------- Rain on the window covers the trace Of all the tears that I've had to waste And now I'm missing you so And I won't let you go away Stain on the desktop where coffee cups lay And memories of you forever will stay And the scent of your perfume And the smile on your face will remain Edited December 11, 2009 by k.Ben
Organic Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 "First Song For B" by Devendra Banhart. Although it may not necessarily bring tears to my eyes, it does evoke something close.
Myval Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 The Music Box: by Trans Siberian Orchestra It doesn't normally make me cry, but still....
Former Member Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 There's this song it plays on the country music channel all the time. People Are Crazy - Billy Currington http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TmkgowjWm_I This one doesn't make me cry either but i love it "Need You Now" - Lady Antebellum http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eB7T3lJ3dZ4

Guest kayden Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 I have to have a pretty high blood to alcohol ratio before I actually shed a tear because of a song, but when I'm in the aforementioned state I've been known to violently bawl my eyeballs out because of one of the following songs: (wow, this one gets me even when I'm not drunk) (this one, too, but only because I'm a veteran) Pain of Salvation - Iter Impius(BIG one for me) Kamelot - Abandoned Third Eye Blind - Jumper Shadows Fall - Another Hero Lost (I got lazy, just search youtube for any of the rest of the songs you wanna hear...) Five For Fighting - Superman Newsies - The World Will Know (I know, it makes no sense, but I cry in a non-sad way because of this song) Ben Folds Five - Brick Better Than Ezra - A Lifetime Eric Clapton - Tears in Heaven U2 - One Lisa Loeb - Stay Elton John and George Michael - Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me (live) Everclear - Wonderful Kenny Loggins and Messina - Danny's Song Rascal Flatts - I'm Movin' On Rascal Flatts- What Hurts The Most Rascal Flatts - I Melt Little Big Town - Bring It On Home Gary Allen - See If I Care Lonestar - What Might've Been Brad Paisley - The World (sweet) The Wreckers - Leave The Pieces Highwaymen - Born and Raised in Black and White There are tons more, since if I'm in "that kinda mood" I'll let anything push me over the edge, but there's a taste for you.
Steve3 Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 (edited) Easy. 1) All Time "The Finale", Mahler's 2nd Symphony, "The Resurrection" (The ladies only sing for a bit, wait for the chorus and orchestra, and while this performance is certainly not my fav, you'll get the gist of it.) 2) "The Prayer", Josh Groban and Charlotte Church 3) " ", Cover by Espen Lind, Kurt Nilsen, Askil Holm, Alejandro Fuentes 4) " ", Cover of Madonna's song by Susan Boyle. Tons more. Edited December 17, 2009 by The_FNG

Guest kayden Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 I almost forgot one of the most tear-jerking songs I've ever heard: This song gets me every time.
KJames Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 (edited) I keep forgetting to post more here...this one's an old one in keeping with the Christmas Season, from Red Sovine, IIRC, Teddy Bear, works every time. Edited December 18, 2009 by kjames

KiwiShadow Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 I listen to it a lot when I need to write something which is really sad but I like listening to music which makes me feel something because sometimes it's therapeutic to have a bit of a cry. That's just me though lol. Oh and I'll have a look through some of these
Steve3 Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 .......it's therapeutic to have a bit of a cry. That's just me though lol. I have to STRONGLY agree. It's just not you Kiwi. Crying is VERY therapeutic. Releases a lot of pent up anguish, anger, sadness etc.. Steve
