Read it..loved it...Can't wait for future chapters. Adam is one bad dom, he has so far twisted a healthy dom/sub relationship that isn't even funny. It's very interesting, you began the story calling Nye "the boy" but at 21 he is trying to insist that he is very much the man. I know that "boy" is a typical sub title but don't feel that is what is being implied here. He certainly seems very much the abused person role rather than a contented sub that he is trying very hard to play. I can't wait to read the chapter where he goes home, especially if Adam is with him. I can see a showdown between him and Kane being very very revealing..

 

Only complaint..if I didn't know better I would take the acts of mainstream bdsm to be cast in a negative light in this story. I know a bit about the lifestyle, Adam is certainly not a sane or at all like a responsible dom should be. Knowing you, Neph, I know that can't be the only way the story will go..I only hope that a healthy bdsm lifestyle might come into the storyline sometime.

 

Thanks for the story, I won't say it is 'good', hee hee, but is certainly gripping and enthralling...

Edit after your response to my review: It wasn't the graphic nature of the scene itself that was close to the line...the difficulty for me wasn't the "action" it was the relationship that was sooo twisted between Nye and Adam that made what occured during the session so questionable. A healthy dom/sub relationship with lots of playtime doesn't bother me one bit to read.... Just didn't want you to think I was thinking it was over the the line for posting. Hope that came out understandable, I don't want to speak too explicitly and ruin it for someone who might not have read it yet.

In my next chapter heading I will make it clear that at no time do I wish to suggest that BDSM as a 'lifestyle' is abusive. It's fun I wouldn't want anyone to think that. This story is about the 'relationship' which certainly isn't healthy and is abusive. What happens in the dungeon is merely an expression of what is going on inside the minds of the participants and the relatinships they form.

 

The story is not pretty and it is not nice and it is not happy... although for those of you with feint hearts I will reassure you right from the start that although there will be pain and there will be abuse and there will be death... lots of all of it... there will also be a satisfactory ending. Not a 'happy ever after' because that does not exist... but a satisfactory one... at least I think so.

The way in which Miriam's emotions cut through the miasma of the club makes it clear that Nephylim is an incredible talent.

Thank you, that was a very kind thing to say. I will say this now, and I hope it is not spoiling anything when I say that although this story is very physical the scariest things for me are what are going on behind the scenes... look out for the little things.

To be honest this world is a lot better than it gets depicted here. There is a lot of information that is accurate but it is given through Adam and Nye's skewed perspectives. They are coming at it from different ends so to speak.

 

Adam is really hard to like...and believe me it gets harder.

 

I am really glad you like the story because I had SUCH fun writing it.

Absolutely (and, if I were a writer, I could have written that!). It is the same helplessness one feels when a loved one falls into any pit, depression, addiction, etc.

 

I'm enjoying the story very much. Interestingly, at least for me, it has caused some self-reflection. How dark is my dark side and which role would I end playing on the dark side?

Conner: If the scene doesn't appeal to a person trying it will not really help. There are some who truly like pain, some a little and some a lot. As well as some who enjoy givig it. It is also a big control thing for many..A true dom/sub thing is never rape..there sub is always consenting at some point..anything else is master/slave, a different thing altogether. I agree, Adam does have some exquisite BS, he is really a master at it.

Stick with Kane... he's awesome.

 

The nocturnal sex was completely and utterly for Adam. It wasn't part of the 'training' it was sheer indulgence from him. As you will see later on one of Adam's 'kinks' is drugging... You will also find out soon that Adam is trying and experiment with Nye... a different kind of 'Training'. In his twisted way he does love him and he is trying out the novel idea of treating him gently and with kindness instead of with pain. We'll see how well it works
