Last night in chat we were talking about our personal theme songs and what they are to us... So I decided to start a thread and see what everyone elses was.

Mines the Wonder Woman theme song... I'd post a link but I'm on my iPad and haven't learned to do that yet lol.

Hmmm, I guess I'll go first. I guess My personal theme song is called Muah. Its a song thats empowers me and give me confidence. Just the entire song is just a confidence booster. The chorus goes, 'I'm the ish with this ish' Which I simply love to pieces. So with out further a do I give you my theme song:

My theme song is The Blessing as sung by Maura O'Connell. I find it to be very encouraging.

Maura is a native of Ennis, County Clare, Ireland who now lives and works in Nashville, Tennessee.

My theme song changes constatly but the one that has stayed with me since the first time I've heard it and which I play now and again to remind me to stop listening to that petty little voice that's telling me I'm not good enough, not strong enough, not pretty enough... blah blah.... is 'I Am What I Am'. Cliche I know but there you are. :)

It would have to be "Where Is Love".

I don't know who or what---but it comes from the movie "OLIVER!"

Extremely poignant, and it fits my life to a freaking t.

I think Tiger nailed my theme song, but I can't seem to find it. Have to wait until he posts it.. :P

this is the last time
that I'm ever gonna come here tonight
this is the last time - I will fall
into a place that fails us all - inside

I can see the pain in you
I can see the love in you
but fighting all the demons will take time
it will take time

the angels they burn inside for us
are we ever
are we ever gonna learn to fly
the devils they burn inside of us
are we ever gonna come back down
come around
I'm always gonna worry about the things that could make us cold

this is the last time
that I'm ever gonna give in tonight
are there angels or devils crawling here?
I just want to know what blurs and what is clear - to see

still I can see the pain in you
and I can see the love in you
and fighting all the demons will take time
it will take time

the angels they burn inside for us
are we ever
are we ever gonna learn to fly
the devils they burn inside of us
are we ever gonna come back down - come around
I'm always gonna worry about the things that could break us

if I was to give in - give it up
- and then
take a breath - make it deep
cause it might be the last one you get
be the last one
that could make us cold
you know that they could make us cold
I'm always gonna worry about the things that could make us cold

Oooo this one's a toughie! :)

Well my theme song would have to be something very happy and cheery (people will probably make some sort of kinky joke out of it though :P)

Spread The Love Around!

And of course one of the best 70's songs and from 'Disco Inferno' and 'Priscilla Queen of The Desert' (campy crap but i dont care :D)

I Will Survive

Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol is Doug's and my theme song.

Chasing Cars Lyrics

We'll do it all, everything, on our own.

We don't need anything, or anyone.

If I lay here, if I just lay here,

Would you lie with me, and just forget the world?

I don't quite know how to say how I feel.

Those three words, are said too much, they're not enough.

If I lay here, if I just lay here,

Would you lie with me, and just forget the world?

Forget what we're told, before we get too old,

Show me a garden that's bursting into life.

Let's waste time, chasing cars, around our heads.

If I lay here, if I just lay here,

Would you lie with me, and just forget the world?

All that I am, all that I ever was ,

Is here in your perfect eyes, they're all I can see.

I don't know where, confused about how as well,

just know that these things will never change for us at all.

If I lay here, if I just lay here,

Would you lie with me, and just forget the world?

Dargon,

Those are two very beautiful songs.

I have never heard of these artists until now. The songs are so tender, so sweet. Thank you!

@ Lacey--I have a history with Colonel Harland Sanders. Thanks for your choice, albeit, with his very dry sense of humour I doubt that he would have enjoyed your selection nearly as much as I did. It WAS/IS funny!:2thumbs:

"O Fortuna" from Carl Orff's "Carmina Buranna".

Oh! And the arrangement by Highland, entitled "Magic Fortuna".

Johnathan-omg!

In some other thread the question was about "your fav gay movie", or however it went.

*True Confessions* here and now.

My favorite of all gay movies to date is "Priscilla Queen of the Desert". I am SO serious! I posted, I think, "Birdcage". The ONLY reason I did this was because I was too lazy to look up how to spell *Priscilla*.

My two favorite parts of this movie are when the *rednecks* are threatening one of the group, our main character kicks his ass and says something like "There! Now you've been (blanked)!" And then when we find out that the young son of one of the characters is totally ok with his dad's lifestyle....Jeeezz! Am I allowed to say that "Priscilla Queen of the Desert" is SO GAY!! IDC! I said it anyway!p

Thanks Johnathan! Shall we all sing together now...."I will survive....oh yeah...I will surviiiive".

Sorry! I'm just havin' a gay old time. p

Folks, Id like to sing a song about the American Dream
About me, about you
About the way our American hearts beat way down in the bottom of our chests
About that special feeling we get in the cockles of our hearts
Maybe below the cockles,
Maybe in the sub cockle area,
Maybe in the liver, maybe in the kidneys,
Maybe even in the colon, we dont know

Im just a regular Joe, with a regular job
Im your average white, suburbanite slob
I like football and porno and books about war
I got an average house, with a nice hardwood floor
My wife and my job, my kids and my car
My feet on my table, and a Cuban cigar

But sometimes that just aint enough to keep a man like me interested
(oh no, no way, uh uh)
No I gotta go out and have fun at someone elses expense
(woah yeah, yeah yeah, yeah yeah yeah)
I drive really slow in the ultra fast lane
While people behind me are going insane

Im an asshole (hes an asshole)
Im an asshole (hes an asshole, such an asshole)

I use public toilets and I piss on the seat
I walk around in the summer time saying "how about this heat?"

Im an asshole (hes an asshole)
Im an asshole (hes the worlds biggest asshole)

Sometimes I park in handicapped spaces
While handicapped people make handicapped faces

Im an asshole (hes an asshole)
Im an asshole (hes a real f**king asshole)

Maybe I shouldnt be singing this song
Ranting and raving and carrying on
Maybe theyre right when they tell me Im wrong
Nah

Im an asshole (hes an asshole)
Im an asshole (hes the worlds biggest asshole)

You know what Im gonna do
Im gonna get myself a 1967 Cadillac Eldorado convertible
Hot pink, with whale skin hubcaps
And all leather cow interior
And make brown baby seal eyes for head lights (yeah)
And Im gonna drive in that baby at 115 miles per hour
Gettin' 1 mile per gallon,
Sucking down Quarter Pounder cheeseburgers from McDonalds
In the old fashioned non-biodegradable styrofoam containers
And when Im done sucking down those greeseball burgers
Im gonna wipe my mouth with the American flag
And then Im gonna toss the styrofoam containers right out the side
And there aint a goddamn thing anybody can do about it
You know why, because weve got the bombs, thats why
2 words, nuclear f**king weapons, OK?
Russia, Germany, Romania, they can have all the democracy they want
They can have a big democracy cakewalk
Right through the middle of Tiananmen Square
and it wont make a lick of difference
Because weve got the bombs, OK?
John Wayne's not dead, hes frozen, and as soon as we find a cure for cancer
Were gonna thaw out the duke and hes gonna be pretty pissed off
You know why,
Have you ever taken a cold shower, well multiply that by 15 million times
Thats how pissed off the dukes gonna be!
I'm gonna get the Duke, and John Cassavetes,
and Lee Marvin, and Sam Peckinpah, and a case of whiskey,
and drive down to Texas and say.....

(Hey! You know, you really are an asshole!)
Why don't you just shut up and sing the song, pal?
Im an asshole (hes an asshole)
Im an asshole (hes the worlds biggest asshole)

A-S-S-H-O-L-E
Everybody
A-S-S-H-O-L-E

Im an asshole and Im proud of it
